The class was scattered around the front desks where Adrien and Nino sat. It was the last few minutes of the school day as they were all catching up on what they missed during the summer. Whilst doing that they remarked how much each one of them has changed. They all could easily be mistaken for adults."Ok but we can all agree Rose looks the same," Juleka giggled, sharing a gaze with Rose.
"Rose never fails to look innocent. It's just... her," Alix stated. They all agreed while trading Rose who was flushed a shade of pink.
"Ok, ok, but I think we all know who had the best glow up," Alya chimed, raising an eyebrow.
"Do we?" Kim asked confused, "I can't narrow it down to one..."
"I sure can," Adrien mumbled under his breath playing with the button on his shirt. He then realized that was a bad idea to say out loud. He didn't mean for it to come up. But he couldn't let it go unacknowledged. She did stand out to him out of all the people in the room. However thankfully no one heard him... or so he thought.
"What was that, Adrien?" Kim asked who was right behind him, leaning against Marinette's desk.
"Huh?"
"You said something,"
"Oh... I did," He trailed off. How was he going to get himself out of this? He sure wasn't going to point out who had glowed up the most over the summer and make them uncomfortable. He'd never do that to a friend.
"... What did you say?" Alix asked, now concerned.
"Pfttt, it's nothing," He shook his head desperately trying to divert the attention.
"Something about you being able to narrow it down to one," Nathaniel smirked, slightly punching his shoulder.
"Oh?" Alya asked, "Well Sunshine, who is it?"
"Uhhh...." He paused for a moment trying to think. What is the best way to get out of this? He could make a run for it since school was almost over soon. He could also lie and say it was himself. As he thought his eyes flickered over the Marinette who was just sitting with her knees tucked to her chest glancing at her phone with a grin on her lips. A light smile formed on his face seeing her hyper focused on whatever was distracting her.
Luka: I wish I could see you right now
Luka: I bet you look amazing
Marinette: Well you lost that bet lol
Marinette: I look pretty much homeless
Luka: I highly doubt it
Luka: You'd look beautiful even when you're homeless.
Marinette: Uhh... Thanks?
"Ohhh, I see who it is," Alya smirked before standing up. She took a step to stand behind Marinette placing her hands on the busy girl's shoulders. Marinette snapped her eyes up before looking up to see Alya with a knowing grin glancing at her, "Marinette, our dear friend, Adrien, has something to say! Won't you listen?"
"Uhm. What is it?" She asked looking around. Soon enough the rest of the teens caught on. Suddenly all eyes were on Adrien as they awaited his confession.
"Come on, Adrien, who do you think had the best glow up?" Ivan's eyebrows wiggled.
Adrien sighed rubbing his hands over his face before pointing at Marinette, "You."
