(Sorry for not posting for awhile. Lokey cried while writing this. I love Aerith with all of my being❤)

Flash back

"Hello?" I hear a soft voice say from outside my bedroom door. I wipe the tears off my face and clear my throat before answering.

"Who is it?" I holer back my voice almost breaking. The door creeks open to reveal a little girl with brown hair. She wore a pink dress and a red jacket that went quiet nicely together.

"Hey, are you alright?" She asks genially. I ghink about noding my head but then all the tears started spilling out my eyes.

"N-no," my voice breaks," n-not r-really." The girl walks over and sits next to me. She places her hand on my back and rubs rubs circles.

"Do you wanna talk about it? I won't judge, promise," she states, holding her pinky out to me. I take my head out of my hands and look at her pink then to her face. She gives a kind smile. One that could be so easily manipulated, broken even. I sniff, smiling back and hooking my pinky with hers.

"Whats your name?" The girl asked. I hesitantly answered.

"Y/n," I say shyly.

"Well nice to meet you Y/n! Im Aerith, Aerith Gainsborough."

End of flash back

That was the day we met. The day I finally had someone to talk to. To love.

But she was taken away from me. How could some bear with the burden of taking the life of angel. She didn't deserve to die like that.

I walk down the street of sector 5, staring at the ground. It was rainy and gloomy. It was as if eveything was in slow motion. I watched as the rain drops hit the floor making little splashes against the concrete.

It had been two years since her death. I glanced across the road and saw the flower shop she always liked to go to. It brought back a memory. A memory the hurt so much to think of. Every time she'd see it her eyes would light up like stars.

Oh how much I loved her eyes. I missed them. I miss the feeling of her finger tips on my skin. Her soft red lips on mine. Her arms rapped around my neck.

God, how badly I wanted to cry. Just break down on the sidewalk but I couldn't. I walked over to the flower shop and stopped at the entrance. I just stared at the door. Not daring to step inside.

Flashback

"Look! We should stop by the flower shop!" Aerith beamed, grabbing my arm and dragging me in the direction of the building.

"But Aerith we went there yesterday, didn't we?" I wined.

"Yes, but the shop is so pretty! Please baby?" She ask, giving me her big puppy eyes. I sigh in defeat.

"Alright, but we aren't going here tommarrow alright?" I say. She nods in agreement before pulling me into the building of flowers.

We enter the building, walking around. The burnette had seemed to know what almost every flower was called. It was cute.

Out of nowhere she lets go of my arm and runs over to a patch of yellow flowers. She bends down delicately touching the pedals.

I make my way over to her side staring at the flowers.

"You know, this flower symbolizes reunion of lover," she states.

"Does it?" I ask. Aerith nods her head in return. I grab her waist pulling her close to me. She puts her hands around my neck and smiles.

I give her a quick peck and return the smile.

She then leans in giving me a longer kiss. Her lips were soft. Her hands slid from my neck to my cheeks, caressing my cheek gentally. She breaks the kiss and boops me on the nose.

"I love you," I state, a small smile resting on my face.

"I love you too," the sweet girl answers before skipping away.

End of flash back

Quickly turned away not being able to hold in my tears anymore. I ran through the streets of the sector 5 slums until I reached the old run down church.

I stopped at the front doors, taking a deep breath. I open the doors and make my way to the small pond of water.

I drop to my knees, letting all the tears poor out.

"Why did you leave me?" I whisper.

Why did you leave me, Aerith?!" I sob. All the sudden my vision went black.

My eyes shoot open. All I see is white. I stay there at my knees not having the energy to move.

"Don't be sad, y/n," a soft voice says. I knew who that belonged to. The voice I had be starving to hear.

"Aerith," I say, my eyes widen.

"Hm?" She replies. I feel arms rap around my waist. Tears start to flow down my face.

"Why did you leave?" I whisper, afraid that if I spoke any louder my voice would break.

"I never left, I am always with you," Aeriths states, placing a soft kiss on my shoulder. I continued to stare ahead.

"A-Aerith-," I sob.

"Shh, its ok," she whispers," I know its hard."

"B-But I wasn't there. I-I couldn't-," I start.

"I never blamed you. You tried thats all that matters," she says.

"How could you ever forgive me?" I whisper.

"Don't you think you should be the one forgiving?" Aerith asks. I couldn't speak. All I could do was cry.

"I love you," her words rang out like a melody. I turned around and faced her. She had a sad smile settled across her face.

I reached my hand up and cupped her face. My thumb slid across her cheek like it had done years ago. A couple tears fell from my eyes.

"I love you too," I reply. She leans in kissing my lips. I close my eyes and melt into the kiss.

I was ready to move on. Her words were all I need.

I open my eyes, to see I was back at the old church. I felt at peace.

That night I went to The 7th Heaven. I opened the doors to see Cloud sitting at the bar talking to Tifa and Barret. They all turned there heads to see who had entered.

I walked over and took a seat next to Cloud.

"So this what it feels like to be forgiven, huh Cloud?" I state. The blonde seemed confused at first. Then a smile settled on his face.

"Feel lighter?" He asked. Barret and Tifa looked at us like we were crazy but we weren't crazy at all. Just healed.

"Ya."
