3 Hours Earlier.

"Hey Zack did you have the camera in the car?" Charlie asked Zack.

"Yeh! I put it in the trunk when you came. Ok ... I'll just grab my bag and we're good to go."

Zack and Charlie were enrolled in the school's editors team with two other's, Samantha and Bailey, and were asked to cover the expo at Vermont's Enterprises. Zack thought it would be good exposure to do something different other than sports, plus he needed the extra credits. Charlie just went along for the trill of discovering a story since he didn't need any extra credits.

Samantha and Bailey were signed up since last semester and was waiting for Mrs. Baronette, chief editor at the school to call them when space was available. Samantha was more than ecstatic when she found out Charlie had signed up. She was Charlie's rival and secret crush. Her pale blue eyes would always light up when he came to class, but somehow they never hit off in a decent conversation since he started school at Burnaby. He called her freckles and she hated it, but little did she know that Charlie thought those freckles were cute and went great with her curly brown hair. Their arguments were just as cute. She would tip toe to confront him when she didn't approve of whatever he said or did, and he would just go after her weak spot by patting her head and telling her to calm her little freckled head down. Bailey on the other hand was very tech savvy, his classmates called him a nerd, but he didn't mind. His father was the head of a huge corporation that created the latest games and technology, so he couldn't care less about being called nerd after being a second generation heir to a conglomerate.

They arrived at their destination at 10 o'clock, just as the set up team was finishing their final touches to the stage and other areas.

"I hope we can do good on this assignment." Zack sighed and started setting the camera and other equipment.

"OMO! This place is really something!" Charlie looked around admiring the design of the building and grounds. "This kinda reminds me of back home, the buildings are just as awesome." Zack stood up and patted his friends shoulders.

"I'm glad you got a reminder of your home."

"Yeh, sure did."

Samantha and Bailey looked on silently. Secretly Samantha wished that Charlie could see his home again soon but thought she would miss him and their little spats at each other.

"Ok let's see if we can meet the organisers to let them know we're here." Just then as Zack suggested a black sports car pulled up to the main entrance. Everyone stopped what they were doing to catch a glimpse of who got out. A gentleman exited the car at the direction of an assistance. He was dressed in a navy blue suit and wore dark shades, his demeanour reeked of business elegance. He took off his shades and placed them in his top pocket. His eyes were cold and full of disdain. He never lowered his gaze once nor smiled even though those around him kept smiling at him, then he went inside.

Charlie shuttered. "Whoah he looks like the ice prince."

"Judging from the looks of things that's the CEO's son. He's also the company's lawyer and biggest stakeholder" Samantha said. Everyone looked at her surprised since she knew who it was. "What? I did my homework before coming here."

"He looks like an apex predator, like he is about to pounce on his prey." Charlie playfully jumped at Samantha and started pinching her. She gave him a yell. " STOP IT YANG! " and grabbed his hair and he grabbed her's in return. The two started fussing with each other.

"LET GO OF ME FRECKLES!" Charlie yelled.

"NOT UNTIL YOU LET GO!" She yelled back.
