Pokémon: Unbreakable Bond

The four Pokémon trainers all started out of the lab and started heading towards the next route when they stopped.

"Hey Caleb, you live here so do you not need to say bye to your parents?" Xion asked, but Caleb shook his head and chuckled softly.

He held up a shrunken luxury ball and smiled, "King was my going away present from them, not to mention the egg I got as well."

Xion shrugged liked that worked for him, but Alice rose an eyebrow.

"What Pokémon is this 'King' as you say?"

Caleb thought about it and shrugged, "Might as well show you." He said.

He moved Africa off of his head and onto the ground as he grew the luxury ball. He threw it up and let it open, a beam came out and materialized into a Shieldon at his foot, who yawned loudly.

Alice, Xion, and Blake looked at him in surprise. King yawned and stretched.  Africa walked over and sniffed King, who stood still but sniffed back. The two Pokémon then rubbed their heads together and accepted each other.

Caleb smiled as he bent down and rubbed his two Pokémon on their heads. His bracelet caught the light and Blake's eyes as his keystone shone.

"You have a keystone," Blake spoke up making Caleb look up at the older teen and nod, "If you have that you must have a Pokémon capable of mega evolving, right?"

Caleb stood up and pulled out a dusk ball from his belt, "Yeah, he's been my partner since I was kid."

"What would you say to a battle then, to see if you can handle it." Blake asked as Lucario stepped forward.
He was hoping that Caleb may turn down his offer, showing that he had some restraint, but that all changed as Caleb looked at him with his eyes in shadows under his hair.

"I know your a more experienced trainer, but will that help you against our bond?" Caleb asked as he looked at Blake, and both him and Lucario flinched unconsciously at the dark Fire in his eyes and dark grin that he had on.

Xion had flinched too, but Alice and his Pokémon had a different reaction.  Africa and King both looked at their trainer in awe, the dark look would have scared them if it wasn't for the fact they knew Caleb wasn't a bad trainer.  Alice had put a finger to her cheek and tilted her head in thought.  "Why is that kinda hot?" She thought to herself.

Caleb and Blake walked into a clear area of the route and stood facing each other with Lucario standing in front of Blake.

Caleb smiled and threw up the dusk ball.  The ball opened and a beam of light came out, "Let's show them our bond," his partner appeared in front him, "Right Absol?"

"Absol!!" He called out and stood ready in front of his partner.

Caleb and Absol stood ready as Blake and Lucario watched. "We're ready over here, so let's go!" Caleb yelled and Blake got started.

"Lucario! Aura Sphere!!"

"Cario!" Lucario called and charged up the move when he saw Absol start darting his way without so much as a word from Caleb.

Absol ran straight towards Lucario, who shot the aura sphere dead center, but Absols horn glowed with pink energy as he slashed down and the Aura Sphere was cut in half around him and then Lucario took the rest of the attack and was blown back.

Lucario clutched his chest as Blake looked at Caleb in surprise.  "How'd Absol do that without a command?!"

Caleb started laughing and just winked which threw Blake and Lucario, who was knocked forward by Absols horn and then knocked to the ground as well with bruises around his body as Absol padded over to Caleb.

A red light surrounded Lucario as he stood up Caleb smirked.  "So it is his hidden ability, Justified, this makes it even more fun."

Blake growled, he needed to figure out how Caleb and Absol were communicating before it was too late.  "We have boosted attack so I guess it's time."

He reached a hand to his wrist and breathed out, "Don't let you past define you, show maximum effort! MEGA EVOLVE!!" He yelled as lines came out of his keystone and touched lucarios lucarioite.

The rainbow sphere appeared around and then disappeared around Lucario who stood there in his mega form, and roared with power.

Caleb smirked and touched his own keystone. The same lights came out of his stone and connected to Absols necklace. Caleb and Absol both closed their eyes and connected mentally, "Absol, let's show everyone how deep and strong  our bond has grown over the years."

"Sol."

"THE DARKNESS IS OUR HOME!" Caleb exclaimed as Absol started to get surrounded in rainbow light, "OUR BOND WILL NEVER FALTER AGAINST AN OPPONENT!! MEGA EVOLVE!!" He yelled out as he looked up and his normally purple eyes were pitch black.  Blake and Lucario flinched again, just who was this kid.

Absol roared with power as the light enveloped him and then disappeared leaving him in his mega evolved state.

"Now! Bone rush!!" Blake exclaimed and Lucario grew out the bone between his fists before breaking it up and rushing at Absol, who kept dodging gracefully like he was dancing.

"Foul Play Absol." Caleb communicated mentally to his partner who nodded and turned on a dime.

Absol drew in Lucario and then jumped up and kicked off the Bone Rush.  He then used his horn to smash Lucario to the ground onto his back.

"Aura sphere!!" Blake yelled and Lucario recovered quickly and smashed an aura sphere straight into Absols chest making Absol fly back and land in front of Caleb.

"Not bad, but now, show them how we do it, Flame Cut!"

Absol barked and started charging up flamethrower in his mouth as his horn got covered in psychic energy.

"Lucario! Fall back! Their planning something!" Blake yelled and Lucario barked as he went to jump back but that's when Absol launched the combo move.

He threw out a blade of Psychic energy and then blasted flamethrower around it. The fire and psychic energy converged together into a flaming blade which slammed into Lucario mid jump.

Lucario howled in pain as it was blasted backwards and skidded to a stop in front of Blake, then was taken out of his mega form.

"Oh man, I'm sorry Lucario, I didn't do so well." Blake apologized but Lucario growled and barked lightly.

"No it's both of our faults, we underestimated Caleb."

Blake nodded and looked over just as Absol reverted back and Caleb collapsed to ground covered in sweat.

Everyone reacted at once in fear, but Absol stood next to his partner. The sound of soft snoring could be heard and they sighed.

"Well it's not too bad to just set up camp and wait for him to wake up, but I'm impressed with how well they battle." Blake whistled appreciatively.

"Thank you, we have been together almost 10 years now, but we don't have as much experience with traveling like you do." Absol spoke to Blake through Aura.

"That's why he said we were more experienced, but battled like a pro."

"Yes, we have been together since he was 7 years old, our bond is truly unbreakable at this point."

"I can see that, for now let's let him rest."

The group nodded as they set up camp and Caleb's pokemon laid next to him.

Alice saw this and smiled, this Caleb was a weird one, but definitely interesting to say the least.

"You like him already?" Xion asked coming up next to her, which pulled her from her thoughts and made her face go bright red.

"W-what no way, we literally just met that's impossible." She stuttered and puffed out her cheeks in annoyance.

Xion laughed at his friend, "Whatever you say, he is cute I'll give you that, but you never know, he may like you already too." He said and went to go help his brother with the cooking.

Alice glared at her friends retreating back and then back at Caleb, who's Pokémon were snuggled up to him.
