Welcome to the world of Pokémon. A fascinating place with strange and wonderful creatures inhabiting this world of ours. From the land, the sky, the sea, even in our cities and outer space. Pokémon can be found everywhere on the planet, and the people that catch these Pokémon are known as Pokémon Trainers.

They catch Pokémon and keep them as family, or train and do battle with them. The one thing that keeps everyone together is the bond that Pokémon and trainer share together.

Depending on the region people live in children can start their own journeys to become Pokémon trainers. Caleb Amira is one such hopeful young trainer.

He's from the Hoenn region, and his partner is an Absol that his father caught for him for his seventh birthday. The two were inseparable as soon as they met, and through that connection Caleb's family learned that he could understand pokemon.

Soon Caleb turned 10 and was supposed to be excited that he was going to be starting his journey with his partner, but life had other plans.

"Caleb, mother says that it's time for us to leave to catch the plane." Absol barked and Caleb sighed from where he stood at the window. His black hair covering his eyes.

"Alright," He said lowly and turned towards his partner, who padded up and rubbed his head against Caleb's hand. Caleb absentmindedly rubbed his head when the door opened into the almost empty room.

"Caleb, are you ready son?" His mom asked softly at the doorframe.  She was looking at her son, who stared back sadly.

"Yeah I guess so." Caleb spoke softly as he walked over to her with Absol next to him.

"Look I know your really bummed that you can't start your journey in the Hoenn Region, but Sinnoh is just as great."

"Yeah, maybe, but they don't have any specialists of dark type pokemon, I already looked it up." Caleb said and his mother sighed as she looked past him to see a special item on the window-sill.

"So are you going to just leave the special gift your brother got you for your birthday?" She said after she had walked past him and picked up the item.

Caleb turned and looked at her, and a small smile came to his face as Absol barked once in joy. She was holding the special necklace that his master/big brother Sidney of the Hoenn Elite Four had given to him as gift.

It held the mega stone for his partner Absol. Sidney had found a second one where he had found his, and gave it to Caleb since he and Absol had a great bond already.

"I guess I can't leave it, can I?" Caleb said jokingly and his mother shook her head and put the necklace over his head onto his neck. Absol barked as Caleb messed with the stone, and he chuckled and pet his partner on the head softly.

A soft knock on the doorframe made the three of them turn and then smile. "So how long are we going to keep the car running? We need to leave soon."

Caleb's mom nodded, and then clapped, "Right you are dear, now let's get moving!"

Caleb and his dad chuckled. His mom left the bedroom and Caleb's dad stayed at the door. "I know your sad about leaving, but me and your brother got you another birthday present." He said and tossed Caleb a Dusk Ball.

"Inside that Dusk Ball is a special Pokémon that Sidney and me looked everywhere for, and finally caught it, after convincing it that we were not the ones going to use it."

Caleb looked at the ball and was about to call the Pokémon out, but his dad stopped him.

"Don't let it out here, only when you are alone because you would get a lot of questions of how you have it."

Caleb nodded, and just as he was going to shrink the pokeball he heard an aged voice speak from it.

"So I see this is the young trainer I am accompanying." The voice spoke and Caleb chuckled softly making his dad look at him with a raised eyebrow.

"I only have one request, do not use me unless it is absolutely necessary, alright?"

Caleb nodded, "You've got it, I hope to never break that promise."

"I see that you can hear it's voice even from the pokeball." Caleb's dad said and Caleb nodded.

"Yeah I can." He said and shrunk the pokeball and slipped it into his pocket, "I promised to only use it if it was absolutely necessary."

"That's a good promise to keep, now let's go, it's time to start our new life in the Sinnoh Region." His dad said and turned around and walked away.

Caleb nodded and took one last look around his room, then looked down at his partner.

"I guess it's time to go Absol." He said softly and Absol barked lightly.

"Your right, let's go show the Sinnoh region our talent!"

Caleb chuckled and the pair walked out of the old room not seeing the two glowing red eyes in the window which then disappeared.
