Okay! Heard this song on Monday and started furiously searching for AMV ' S for this song. I, sadly,  could not find any AMV ' S for this shipping, but decided to post a video of the song with lyrics. This song specifically inspired me to write this one shot.

"I was afraid of the dark, but now its all that I want" In this interpretation means,  " I was afraid of the days passing by but now I want them to, because the faster they pass by, the faster I'll be able to see you guys again."

I had just finished packing the final suitcase that I would end up taking on my year long trip traveling around all the pokemon regions running one month courses called 'Introduction to being a Coordinator'. I had finally been offered the chance to teach this course by the Coordinators of the Future Foundation. This foundation takes influential world coordinators and let's them travel the world running instructional workshops on what it takes to become a coordinator.

    After many years of striving to be offered the position, I finally got offered it this year.. Which while I was excited about.. I didn't want to leave my family.

I ran my fingers through my hair as I came out of the guest bathroom at my in law's home. I looked at the digital clock on the bed side table. 5:52 am, is what the screen showed me in glowing red. I had to leave at 6:20 to be able to catch the ferry to Sinnoh. I had enough time to crawl back in bed for a little while. I stood there for a moment starring at May, peacefully asleep in the bed.  I crawled under the blankets and sheets next to her and wrapped my arms around her rib cage.

She was so beautiful.. I sat there in silence while I embraced her from behind.

Suddenly, the alarm clock began buzzing and May sat up in bed while I went to turn the alarm off. She rubbed her eyes and I wrapped my arms around her.

"Why are you up?" I whispered. 

"To see you off, or course. " She responded. 

"I told you last night thar if you got up to say goodbye to me.. I wouldn't want to leave.."

She pulled my face right in front of hers. "And I told you last night,  I want you to follow your dreams. "

She pressed her lips against mine and didn't pull away for a long time.

"Our family is a dream of mine." I responded while getting up off the bed.

"And we'll still be here in one year Drew," She got up and placed my hand on her baby bump. A smile came across my face as I thought of our unborn child. "That's why we're here remember?  So I can be with my family while you are traveling."

I exhaled a large breath.

She wrapped her arms around me, "Go down stairs and get something to eat. I'll be down in a little to send you off." She smiled as she walked towards the bathroom.

I took all my suitcases down to find May's mother ,Caroline,  occupying precious little Kayden. 

Her face lit up as she saw me approaching her. I picked her up and held her tight.

"Poppy," She said as she pressed her finger to my nose.

I chuckled, "That's right, I'm Poppy."

I placed her back down. Caroline looked at me from the across the room, and I nodded. She then began to lay down on the couch.

"Have you had your breakfast, my dear?" I asked while grabbing a bowl out of the kitchen cabinet.

She smiled at me and shook her head, 'no' in a rapid manner.

"Do you want fruit loops or cheerios?" I asked her as I was going to pull out another

"Whatever you are having, Poppy!" She pointed her little fingers at me.

I poured two bowls of cereal and wend and placed them on the dinning room table. I took a seat at the table and picked up Kayden and placed her on my lap.

We shared a bowl of cheerios, because she wanted cheerios from the same bowl as daddy.

"Where's mommy?" She asked me while I placed her back on her feet.

"She's coming down soon sweetie." I smiled at the little girl who had May's hair color, but my bright green eyes. "Kayden, I have a special job for you."

She looked at me puzzled.

I pulled out one of my pokeballs and handed it to Kayden. "I need you to watch her for me while Poppy is away."

"Is its..!" She asked me while looking at me with her eyes widened.

"Roserade? " I smiled.

She nodded perfusley.

"Well let's see." I smiled as she handed the pokeball to me, so I could call out the pokemon.

I called out my pokemon and with a glow a flower pokemon in full bloom landed on her feet and posed.

"Roserade! " the pokemon exclaimed.

Kayden ran up to her friend and hugged her tightly. I could tell by the expression on Roserade's face she was happy too.

I mouthed to my pokemon, "Keep a good watch over May, Kayden,  and soon to be born baby boy."

My pokemon nodded in response. 

I heard May coming down he the stairs and Kayden and Roserade walked towards the stairs.

I looked at the clock and was sent into final goodbye mode.

I bent down and hugged my daughter in and tight embrace and whispered to her, "Watch over daddy's Roserade for me." She kissed me on the cheak and I then stood up. I embraced May tightly, with my hand on her stomach.

"I love you, May. Call me daily. " I planted one last kiss on her lips.

Now the sun was up and it was time for me to depart, while following one of my many dreams.
