Christmas Suprise

Travis POV

My heart was pounding out of my chest. Today was the day I was going to propose to Katelyn. The date is December 25, 2025. It's 4 am and I'm in the bathroom, I can't stop thinking about all the outcomes. Will she say yes? Or will she deny my love? We've been together for almost 8 years now. I already have Eric and Elizabeth's blessings. I'm going insane I swear-

Katelyn: "Hey, trav. You in there."

Travis: "Oh yeah.. I'm.. in the bathroom."

Katelyn: "That much I figured, what are you doing in there?

Travis: I'm just...

Travis thoughts:

I can't lie to her.. what am I going to say?

Travis: " Nothing love, I'm coming out.

No ones POV

Travis opened the door to a sleep deprived Katelyn. She was exhausted from playing with her cousins and brothers. She's also super strong, so she had to help with suitcases, and decorations. Both Travis and Katelyn walked hand in hand to the guest room, they were accompanied by 2 of Katelyn's brothers, Kacey and Klaus. They slowly jumped over the 2 and cuddled up in their bed. Katelyn fell asleep almost instantly, while Travis stayed up. He whispers sweet nothings into her ear even though she couldn't hear him. He couldn't stop thinking about the proposal that was going to happen in 5 hours or so. While lost in thought he ended up unintentionally falling asleep.

The next morning

The next morning Travis woke up to an excited Katelyn. Christmas was always so special to her, it was the one time out of the whole year she could spend time with her whole family. Her family is huge, Katelyn and her brothers combined with her parent is actually considered one of the smallest families in their family. Everyone ate breakfast and got ready to start opening presents. Travis was estatic to know that not as many people showed up this year. Therefore, if Katelyn declined he would be less emmbaresed. Everyone gathered around and started opening their big gifts, smaller gifts were normally opened during dinner time.

Eric: "Hey son, can i talk to you for a sec?"

Travis: "Uh, sure sir."

They walked into a seperate room and locked the door.

Eric: "So are you gonna do it today?"

Travis: "Yes! But im really nervous.."

Eric: "You got this! Just make sure you-

Theres a knock at the door. It was Katelyn.

Katelyn: "Hey dad, babe?

Both in sync: "Yes?"

Katelyn: "Can you open the door?"

Eric reached for the door and opened it.

Katelyn: " What are you two doing?"

Travis: "Nothing love, lets go."

Katelyn: "Oh, ok."

They walked back the group, this was Travis's time to shine. He grabed the ring and put it in his pocket. Travis grabbed Katelyn's hand and brought her to the front of the room."

Travis: "Katelyn, i just wanna say im sorry im putting you on the spot, because i know you hate it."

Katelyn: "Ok..."

Travis: "Ive known you since high school, and we've been friends for over a decade.. Every momment ive had with you has been amazing, even if it was just you yelling at me. Hah, your smile lights up the room, and everytime i kiss you, i swear i can fly. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, i wanna grow old together and start a family. With that said, Katelyn Liz Firefist... Will you marry me?"

Katelyn covered her face to hide the fact she was crying. Everyone was anxiously waiting for Katelyn's response.

Katelyn: "I....Yes, YES, YES! 100 times yes!!"

Travis places the ring on her finger and picked her up. He spun her around, while everyone cheered.

Katelyn: "You know Katelyn Liz Valkrum has a good ring to it, hehehe."

Travis: "Hah, i love you so much."

Katelyn: " i love you, fiance... heheh"

Travis: "Irene.."
