Sirius was running faster than he had ever ran. Well, unless you count his time back at Hogwarts when he was running through the Forbidden Forest with a certain stag, a rat and a werewolf, but that was only for fun. Man, he missed those times so much. Way too much had changed. His best friend and brother dead, the rat was a traitor and the werewolf was left alone for twelve years, believing Sirius had betrayed everyone and killed those muggles.
Sirius missed Remus so, so much. He missed the times where he would scold everyone for staying up late when exams were coming up. He missed when the two of them would cuddle up together in the common room late at night. He missed the smell of chocolate, parchment and books that reminded him of the werewolf. Sirius couldn't wait to see Remus again.
But now, he was running. The sun had set already, which meant the third night after their escape had arrived. London was only a few miles away, he might make it before dawn.
He wondered again if Nova made it to Hiller Hotel. Did she manage to obtain a wand? He didn't know if it had been the right choice, to let her figure this out on her own. She had never been outside before, and human contact was an important part if you go shopping. Maybe she hadn't even managed to steal some money, it's not like he expected her to, but paying is a lot easier if you have something to pay with.
Only a few more miles to go. He was starting to get tired, but he couldn't give up. Muggles in cars driving past could see nothing more than a black dog in their headlights, little did they know this was actually the escaped mass murderer they had seen on their news.
One more mile. Then, he had made London. He still had to get to Hiller Hotel once he arrived in the city, but Sirius knew where to find it. He remembered the cheap place from his time as a teenager, he had stayed there before.
Zero miles left. He made it.

Come on, move! Just do it, move upwards a bit. Nova was trying to use wandless magic, after reading trough her newly bought book. The first few pages were just introduction, but after working her way through that there were many pages, all with different explanations and spells. Right now, she was trying to levitate a needle she found on the ground.
Do it, you stupid needle, or I'll throw you out of the window so you can get ran over by a car! MOVE! MOVE, YOU STUPID PIECE OF- Nova was cut off by screeching on wooden door of the bedroom she was in.
She slowly walked over to the door, not knowing what to expect. She wouldn't be in that much trouble if it were a muggle who was standing behind the door, but if it was someone from the ministry who was going to take her back... On second thought, they probably wouldn't have knocked, they would have bursted right in without asking for consent. By the way, he noise by the door wasn't even knocking. It was screeching. Humans don't screech doors, so that must mean...
'Sirius!' Nova exclaimed happily, seeing the big black dog stand in front of her. He let himself in and transformed back.
'Hi.' He grinned. 'Did you do it?'
'Do what?'
'Did you buy a wand?'
'Ah, of course. No. I did not.' Nova said. 'That stupid man wouldn't sell me a wand because he knew who I was.' She muttered.
'What?!' Sirius exclaimed. 'He knows who you are? Why aren't you back in Azkaban then?!'
'I don't know.' Nova sighed. 'He did say I was lucky he didn't give me back to the dementors, or something along those lines. I got pretty scared, I don't want to go back. But he just let me leave the shop, though without a wand.'
