Red Ink

Interlocking hand's, they walked back to the playground together, Jericho along side them. Beast boy looked up at Rachel, a wide smile on his face, she smiled back. Jericho stared down at his feet as he walked, fiddling with his fingers. He still felt bad... For hurting them... his new friends. Rachel sensed this about him. Turning to Jericho, she sent him a warm, friendly grin. "It's fine Jericho..." he looked to the girl, his heart sunk slightly as he stared into her amethyst eyes. Only now, were his powers under control. A small growl crawled up Garfield's throat. Bite down on that little twats head Logan! She's ours!

I can't just kill the guy Beast!

SHE'S OUR MATE! I can tell he likes her and so can you!

I don't care Logan! You'd rather loose Rachel then fine! I'm sure Jericho will have fun making out with h-

SHUT IT! RACHEL IS MINE! Feeling Garfield's grip on her hand tightening, Raven faced him, wincing silently. "Are you alright Gar?" She asked. Snapping him out of his trance with Beast. He smirked, "Yeah I'm fine mama!" he pecked her cheek. A fierce blush crept up her face and one of the lockers beside them, burst open. Paper flying everywhere, startling Jericho. Beast burst out laughing. Both, Rachel and Jericho looked to him. "Oh... sorry that was Beast laughing... NOT ME I SWEAR!" Garfield cleared up. 
Please Logan, you thought that was funny too!

Duh! He screamed like a chic! Both boys snickered. Rachel rolled her eyes and they continued to walk. "Excuse them Jericho... their both idiots!" Garfield nudged her playfully, making her smirk. "Hey we're not idiots!"

"Well I'm not at least!" Beast cut in. As the mentally argued, they approached the glass double doors to the gardens. Only to be stopped by Miss Hawk. "Rachel! There you are!" She looked flustered, out of breath. The winged woman was completely red in the face. "Your guardian Azar.... Poof... Sorry I've been all around the school looking for you... Azar sent the school a letter... It hit Miss Wonder on the head as it shot through the portal!" She smirked and handed Rachel an already opened envelope of silver. It had neat italic hand writing on the front saying Rachel, in red ink. "Miss if it was addressed to me, why is it open?" she questioned. Miss Hawk froze slightly, she'd gone slightly pale. Looking closer, Raven noticed the letter was never even sealed. "T-that's the other thing... the l-l-letter was open when it came through that red portal..."

Giggling away in a circle together, Bee spotted Rachel, BB and Jericho approaching them. Raven didn't look well... Garfield had his arm around her and Jericho was asking hundreds of questions, along with Garfield. "Hey guys... You okay honey?" Karen asked. Rachel shook her head. Eye's not even blinking. She simply handed Karen the letter. "Read it out loud..." her soft voice mumbled. She didn't have the heart to read it herself. Bee cleared her throat and began to read. "Dear Rachel, 

What ever you do, never return to Azarath! He has returned. What was little left of Azarath is in ruins... I'm writing this from the remains of the great temple... This ink is from my blood... I could not find anything else... I ripped this paper from my spell book, but I can't find an envelope. I think we're the only Azarthains left! He's killed them... all of them... He sent the hell hounds on us... I w-watched them...e-e" Bee chocked and pasted the letter to Cyborg, not wishing to continue. She teared up. Cy read to the group. "I watched them eat Lilith's arm... I'm so sorry Rachel... But I'm injured... I'm too weak to even stand... He's still here... Looking for your mothers grave... He's a psycho! Never return to this place... And what ever you do, don't use your portals! He'll find you!" Cyborg looked confused, staring down at the sheet. Robin looked over his shoulder, his face dropped. "T... T-the ink just stretches across the page in a line... like it was ripped away from him..." They all looked to Raven. She simply stared at the floor, tears flooding her eyes. She snivelled and rubbed her eyes. "L-look at t-the... the back..." she chocked up. Cyborg turned to paper over and gagged. He began to read the poorly written hand writing. As if it was written with a finger. ".... He found me..." All eyes were on Raven... Then they stared at the sheet. Splattered blood stained the letter, but not the envelope... "M-my father thought it would be funny to send the letter... That sick bastard!" she cursed under her breath. All of the gang were in tears, or on the brink any way. Star crawled to Rachel's side and hugged her tightly. "Oh friend Rachel... I am so sorry..." Star was in a worse state then Raven... but inside... Raven was a mess. She launched on to Star as well. "I'm the last Azarthain..."
