"And again of all people, it had to be you?"

Fuck! I tried to not curse out of annoyance.

"C'mere." As said, just like a lost puppy he followed my direction and his tall figure stood right in front of me. I reached over him and moved my hand through his ash-grey hair. Wow, he dyed his hair. It was cut short unlike his usual long curly dark locks, which usually cover his eyes making him look like ome hentai protagonist.

"Hey, don't mess with it." He pulled back from my grip. "It took me a whole hour to style it." He said while brushing his messed up hair lightly using his fingers.

"Meh, seriously? You sure take your time."

"To achieve perfection." He snickered cockily.

"Tch, what an otaku?" I leaned against the doorframe of the changing room, looking at him how engrossed he was to make his cosplay look perfect.

He glanced over at me for a split second. The sapphire blue lenses he was wearing were going perfectly with his hair colour and prince-like outfit. "the same goes to you," before looking back at the mirror, he said.

Whatever.

As if being an otaku wasn't making my life hard, he's making it n times harder. Whenever my inner otaku self wants to cosplay as my favourite character this weird guy would show up as the male counterpart of that particular character, which makes us look like some anime couple. And those fangirls are real pain who would want to take pictures with us.

Shit! If anyone finds out I'm into this kind of stuff I'm done for it.

"How do we end up cosplaying as a couple from any anime we choose?" I rubbed my head thinking how annoying coincidences could get.

"Maybe...  it's a destiny." He mumbled loud enough for me to hear while making his way out.

"Destiny my ass!" I kicked him out of the room. And as soon as we got out, his fangirls surrounded him from everywhere. Even some boys were excited to take pictures with him.

The way he looked, I didn't want to admit it, but he's so damn gorgeous and could pull off any anime character's cosplay perfectly that sometimes I wonder that is this person real; for real is it even possible for a guy like him to exist?

"Haha, must be nice being this famous." I patted him on the shoulder, before sneaking my way out of the crowd which was surrounding him. "Have fun."

It was the last day of the 'five-day anime fest'. I couldn't do much over these past four days; so, let's just see if there's something to catch my interest.

As I was looking around, I saw a banner for a contest to win figurines. I was going to ignore that recalling how my mom sent off all the figurines that I collected to the six years old cousin of mine. She deadass thought that they were some kind of toys kids usually play with. It still tears me up thinking that how I spent all my allowance buying them and had to live on instant noodles for the whole month.

But, this time it's my favourite character I couldn't ignore it. Plus, it wouldn't cost me anything if I win the game. Cool, I just have to participate and win. That's what I thought, before checking out the rules.

"Damn  it, why do you need to participate in pair?"

"The figurines come in pairs, that's why you need to participate in pair as well." Said some random person who randomly appeared right behind me.

The sudden yet familiar voice startled me, making me stumble and bump onto him. "Huh, prince Zen?"

Crap, no. That's the character's name he was cosplaying. What was his name again? Rian?
