Chapter 40

‘Anyway, Dani, El and Liv will be excited to see you, come on!’ Louis grabbed my hand and led us all inside, the boys following behind.

He let go of me as we entered their dressing room in the building.

‘Girls, I’ve got you a special surprise.’ Louis announced as we entered the room. The girls looked up and saw me. All I heard from then for the next five minutes was screams. I was attacked with hugs from the girls.

‘Oh my God Piper, it’s you!’ Eleanor shrilled wrapping her extremely long arms around my shoulders.

‘I’ve missed you so much Piper.’ Danielle said as she hugged me after Eleanor pried me from her grip. Next was Olivia, who didn’t say anything, she just enveloped me into her grip. God I’ve missed these girls. Once we finished hugging I turned to my friends and the boys, who were just watching our hugging session.

‘Girls, this is Eleanor, Danielle and Olivia.’ I introduced. ‘Girls, my Aussie friends, Jade, Lydia, Hannah and Kara.’

They all said their hellos and the room suddenly went into an awkward silence. The person I was expecting the least to talk broke the silence.

‘What are you doing here?’ His tone of voice hadn’t changed from the last time he asked. I haven’t looked up, but I knew someone had slapped his arm due to the loud ‘SMACK’ and his whiney voice.

‘I live here?’ It came out more like a question than an answer.

‘I think he means, why are you at our concert.’ Zayn said, with more care and kindness. I smiled weakly at him before answering him.

‘I was forced by my ‘friends’.’ I sighed as I could see my friend’s guilty faces.

‘Oh right, well we’re glad you’re here! We thought we may have had to search for you.’ Louis chuckled. ‘That’s the whole reason why we brought our girls.’

‘Really?’ I was shocked, they flew the girls all the way out here for me?

‘Yeah.’ The girls yelled in unison.

‘AWHH, GUYS!’ I shrilled bringing the girls in for a group hug.            

‘We’re all going for dinner after the show, want to join us.’ Louis offered, all the girls looked at me. I sighed, knowing they would be disappointed.

‘I’m sorry, I can’t. I’m meeting Ty later. But you girls can go without me.’ I said as their faces dropped. They light up as soon as I had said the last statement.

‘Oh okay, but we all have to do something before we leave.’ Liam suggested.

‘Definitely.’ I smiled.

We continued talking for a little long. Harry was silent the whole way through, grunting and shrugging his shoulders whenever he was asked a simple question. Although I wasn’t looking at him I could feel his cold stare on me.

‘Have you heard Piper sing? She is incredible!’ Jade blurted out. I buried my head in my arms, blushing a deep red. Thanks for that Jade.

‘Really?’ Niall asked. ‘Let’s hear some Piper!’ I shook my head vigorously. I got way too nervous to sing in front of people, especially if I haven’t seen them in 2 and a half years.
