Chapter 36

‘Fine, but only if I can have a kiss.’ I rolled my eyes and leant up to kiss him, sweetly.

HARRY’S POV:

I felt nerves overcome my stomach. I was waiting for Piper’s dad to be ready so we could head off for golfing, and to be honest, I’m shitting myself. What if he still doesn’t like me and I can never see Piper again? Am I overreacting? Piper said he wanted to get to know me! Or does he just want to find a reason for me to never see her again? Arrggh, maybe I’m paranoid.

‘Ready to go?’ He quizzed, whilst his hand moved onto the door knob.

‘Yes Mr Roberts.’ I said, getting up and straitening my white polo shirt out.

‘Call me Gregg, son.’ He smiled warmly.

‘Thank you Gregg.’ I smiled back and walked out the door to his car.

Piper’s POV:

I’m not going to lie, I am really nervous about my dad and Harry ‘hanging out together’. What could happen? I mean my dad is really hard to impress, but I want them to get along, my two favourite men in the world. I decided to video chat Danielle, Eleanor and Olivia while I wait for Jade to arrive, who forgot her purse. I quickly went over to my laptop and logged on. I saw that Danielle was on and asked to video chat. A few seconds later Danielle, Eleanor and Olivia popped up on my screen.

‘Hey beautiful.’ Eleanor cooed from the end of the other line.

‘Hey girls.’ I smiled.

‘Are you okay Piper, where’s Harry?’ Danielle asked, her eyebrows knotted together.

‘I’m fine, just waiting for Jade to arrive so we can go shopping. And Harry, he’s golfing with my dad today.’ I giggled.

‘Oh no, Harry’s scared of your dad.’ Olivia chuckled.

‘I know! I hope they get along, they’re my two favourite men.’

‘What about me?’ I heard from the background.

‘Louis? I didn’t know you were there.’ I called.

‘Yea, we’re all here, but were playing twister.’ Danielle turned the laptop round and I saw three boys bending over each other in the awkwardness ways possible. Liam was sitting on the side with the twister board.

‘Hi boys.’ I waved.

‘Hi Piper.’ Niall waved back, causing him to fall on top of the other two boys underneath him. I started to giggled hysterically with the other girls and Liam while we watched the boys groan in pain and try to get up.

‘Niall.’ Zayn and Louis yelled in unison.

‘Sorry.’ He got up and started to run away while Louis chased after him. Zayn and Liam moved to sit next to their girlfriends. Zayn planted a kiss on Livy’s lips while Liam wrapped his arm around Danielle’s shoulder. It made me wish Harry was here right now to kiss and cuddle me, but he was golfing and buddying up with my father.

‘Piper, I have arrived.’ The door swung open and my crazy best friend strolled in. ‘Let’s get our shop on biatch.’

‘Well, I have to go guys. I call you later, when Harry’s here. Bye.’ I told the faces on my screen.

‘Bye Piper, we love and miss you.’ They called back.

‘Miss and love you too.’ I hung up and the screen went black and I shut my laptop off. I quickly grabbed my bag and Jade and I headed out to the mall.
