Your son was born 3 years ago. Ever since you had told him that you were pregnant, Kurapika promised to keep, in his words, "his little family" safe.
Although he would sometimes come home with scratches and bruises, all throughout your pregnancy with S/N had been about as normal as you could ask for.
Once your son was born, he at first had the blue eyes that seemingly most newborns have, but eventually became closer to your color. When S/N was one, Kurapika had noticed that his child's eyes could shift to scarlet. This made Kurapika cry. He also cried when S/N's first word was "Papa" too.
3 years into being parents, Kurapika had reasoned with his boss to make his work hours reasonable for helping his partner raise a child. As soon as he and you bought a house with a nice backyard, Kurapika had a mini playground installed. After long shifts away from home, he'd come home, grab his son, and beelined for the swings portion outside.
One night, after the young half-Kurtan was fast asleep under the care of "uncle Leorio", Kurapika took you out on a nice date in the city, ending with an official proposal. Of course, you said yes.
The morning after, you had heard your fiancé try to explain the engagement to S/N. In the middle of his tangent, the chain user slipped in little compliments about you into the conversation.
