Reece hadn’t called or texted all night and I had to go to the studios today. I hoped and prayed that Claire wouldn’t be there. It was best if I didn’t associate with her. I didn’t want her finding out that I was sleeping with her boyfriend. I grabbed my jacket and my bag before setting off.

The journey to the arena dragged and that was probably due to the excitement I felt about seeing my boyfriend. But it also could’ve been because I was nervous in case Claire was there. I spotted Jake and Barclay outside the studios. They were talking to some fans so they didn’t notice me until security had let me through. “Good morning,” Barclay greeted as he saw me. Jake smiled at me before I headed inside the studios. I went straight to Stereo Kicks’ dressing room and knocked on the door. James opened it and I went inside. “You alright?” he asked me and I nodded. “Where are the rest of the lads?” I questioned only seeing James, Charlie, Casey and Tom. “Chris and Reece disappeared somewhere to talk or something, I’m not sure,” Tom replied. I knew exactly what they’d be talking about. It would most likely be Chris trying to convince Reece to break up with me.

“What are today’s plans?” I asked the four of them but they all shrugged. “Excellent. I’m so glad you’re all so organised,” I told them making them smirk. Jake and Barclay soon returned to the dressing room. “Did you have fun last night?” James piped up. The question took me by surprise. “Yeah, it was alright,” I answered just as Reece and Chris came into the dressing room.

“Rehearsals are starting,” Chris told everyone. All the lads flooded out of the room and Reece and I followed at a distance. “Are you alright? I’m sorry about last night,” Reece told me. “It’s fine, honestly,” I lied. It wasn’t fine. It was anything but fine. “I can’t see you tonight. Claire is coming here at lunch and we’re spending the rest of the day together,” he explained and I nodded. I was disappointed but I had to be okay with it. I was second best.

I left the studios at lunch time and set off back to my flat. My phone buzzed while I was on the train and I read a WhatsApp message in a group chat I had been put in with the lads in Stereo Kicks. Charlotte! Where’d you go? It was James. I’m on my way home. I have lots to do. It was Jake who replied. You should’ve come back to our apartments. I replied with ‘sorry’ before putting my phone away.

When I got back to my flat, my dad wasn’t home. He worked until seven every evening apart from Sunday. I put my jacket and bag on the sofa before kicking my shoes off. Then I went into my bedroom and put some dirty clothes into a basket before putting them in the washing machine. I was awfully lonely and I missed Reece terribly.

I went into my bedroom and shut the door behind me. I took off my clothes, leaving me in my underwear. I wanted to show Reece what he was missing. So I took out my phone and snapped some seductive pictures of me in my underwear before shakily sending them to him on WhatsApp.

Instantly regretting what I’d done but shrugging it off anyway, I put my clothes back on. The photos wouldn’t do any harm, if anything they’d make Reece want me more. My phone had vibrated a few times by the time I was fully dressed. I unlocked it and my heart skipped a beat as heat rose to my cheeks. I hadn’t sent the pictures to just Reece. I’d sent them in the group chat with all of Stereo Kicks.

Jake: Nice pics ;)

James: Holy shit!

Barclay: Were these meant for us?

I quickly typed an explanation and sent it. Oh fuck! I’m so sorry. They were meant for someone else. James was the first to reply. Don’t apologise babe, you’re hot. I was awfully embarrassed and as I was typing a reply to James, my phone started ringing. It was Reece. “Uh…hi,” I spoke into the phone. “Nice pictures,” he told me. I was relieved to hear a hint of humour in his tone. “Oh fuck. They were meant for you,” I replied and he laughed. “Well, I appreciate the gesture. And damn, you look so good. I’ll be over in an hour,” he told me before hanging up the phone. I didn’t realise Reece would actually pay attention to the pictures, never mind actually come over.

Tom: CHARLOTTE!

Charlie: omg

Chris: Thanks for sharing ;)

Casey: Ayye

Oh no. They’d all seen them. Tomorrow would be awkward.
