♥ Chapter 4 ♥

Y/N's P.O.V.

4:25 p.m.

I finish sweeping the floor and head behind the counter to put the broom and dustpan away. I walk to the counter where Felix is. We wait for the few minutes until the store closes and we can finally go home. I look up and notice a boy walking towards the bakery.

"Please don't come in please don't come in" I mumble even though I know that he is probably coming in the bakery. And just as I thought, he came in.

As angry as I am right now, he is kind of cute. But I am still mad at him for coming in five minutes before we close. As he gets closer to the counter, I try my best not to look extremley mad. Me and Felix quickly glance at each other to decide who will take his order. I'm pretty sure I have too.

"Hello! What can I get you?" I try my very best not to sound as mad as I am but I am positive that I failed.

"Two of the cream filled strawberry tarts, please." he said. I'm not sure if he noticed the anger in my voice, but I really hope that he didn't. I walk over to the glass case that we keep the tarts in and get the two that he wanted. I get a small box and put them in it. I handed the boy his tarts while trying to calm myself down quickly.

"That will be four silver coins." I wait as he reaches in his pocket and grabs the coins.

"Thanks." he says cheerfully while handing me the coins. He happily walks out of the bakery.

"He seems like a cheery person," I think, "and he is cute-- wait you are supposed to be mad at him Y/N."

"Hey, Y/N, can I walk you home tonight?" Felix randomly askes me as we are walking out of the bakery.

"Why do you wanna walk me home?" I ask while making up reasons he could possibly want to walk me home in my head.

"I heard there are some criminals. I just wanna make sure you get home safely."

"Oh yeah sure." criminals was not what I was expecting to hear.

Me and Felix walk in silence for a little bit until Felix starts talking.

"I wonder why someone would come in right before we close."

"Yeah, it has been worse though, he was actually kind of cute--" I start talking without realizing what I am saying. Felix starts laughing as I turn a little red.

"I didn't mean to say that!" I say quickly, while trying to get Felix to stop laughing at me.

"Sure Y/N." Felix continues to laugh at me. We continue walking and chatting about some random things. I'm just happy that he stopped laughing at me for calling a customer cute.

We get near my house as the sun is starting to set, which is making the sky really pretty.

"The sky is really pretty right now." I say while looking up.

"Oh wow it is." Felix says as he looks up.

We continue talking about the sky as we walk to my house. I look down from the sky and see my house in front of us.

"This is my house." I say as I walk to the door and turn around to say bye to Felix.

"Thanks for walking me home, Felix." I say while smiling.

"Of course. I don't want you to get hurt or something." He says.

"Well, you should get to your house before it is too late. Bye Felix!"

"Bye! Oh wait! Do you want me to walk you home tomorrow?"

"Oh you really don't have to."

"I want to if you want me to."

"Okay sure."

"Great! Bye now!"

"Bye Felix! Thanks again!"

I turn around and open to door to my small house. I walk in, take my shoes off, and make some food to eat before getting ready for bed.

After eating my food and taking care of the dishes, I go to my room to put some pajamas on. I pick a light blue nightgown and put it on. I go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face and then go to bed. I am pretty tired from working all day, so I fall asleep quickly.
