Seungmin's P.O.V.
3:00pm
"I can do this, I definitely can do this." I was whispering to myself, hoping that it would ease my anxiety. So far was not working. "You've studied hard, you've memorized the spell, you even did it once. Kim Seungmin, you have never failed a test before you got this!"
"You've also never been so bloody bad at a spell before," I turned around to see Minho coming down the stairs, preparing for the test, "At this point, it would be easier to teach a non-magic person this spell than to teach it to you."
"Are you like this with all your students or just me? Because I find it really hard that anyone would recommend you." I retorted.
"What can I say, people love me!" He said with a smug face. While walking back upstairs, he called out to me, "Continue with your 'I-can-do-this-lecture'!"
I rolled my eyes as I double-checked my spell book just to make sure I did, in fact, memorize the spell and to check to see if maybe, just maybe, there was a small part I had missed that would be my way to mastering the spell.
Of course, there was nothing.

"I failed, I failed the test." I should have expected it, I did expect it, but I thought that I would somehow suddenly be able to do the spell perfectly. I even able to cast it.
I've always had a fear of failing. When your sister is a highly respected witch, it comes naturally to be scared that I'll become the disappointment of the family.
Even though I was being taught by the very prestigious Lee Minho, I still never felt like I could get away from my sisters shadow.
Most people only think I can be a good wizard because my sister is brilliant in magic, none of my personal accomplishments mean anything.
"You failed one test, it's not the end of the world." Minho scolded me, bringing me out of my thoughts.
I glanced over at the clock—I had an hour until the shop opened.
"If you're wondering what to do until your job, I suggest going to that bakery you went the other day and buying a dozen of pastries." Minho was obviously not 'suggesting' anything, he was telling me to go buy him some pastries.
"I would just love to go, but I'm broke."I lied, knowing that Minho would give me the money. I heard Minho grumble something that was probably some rude thing about me."
"Catch!"
A bag of coins hit me on the back of my head. I tried to catch the bag before it fell, but I missed it and instead fell off my chair.
"Pfffft, I'd be more embarrassed from that over any failed test!" Minho laughed at me.
"I'm going now." I said while holding the back of my head where the bag hit me. Even from upstairs, I could hear Minho laughing.

I was walking home from picking up a variety of pastries from Seustry Bakery. I reached the town square, where there was a podium placed in the very center, it was used for announcement and public executions, mainly executions of magic users.
Currently, there was a man standing on the podium holding a book: "It must be the weekly news."
I had some time before I had to be back, so I stayed to see if anything exciting was happening. At first, it was just the usual—talking about some job opportunities, updates on how relationships with other kingdoms are doing, and how the authorities are trying their "best" to fix the new problems with a believed group of thieves.
I was about to leave, none of this stuff concerned me too much, so I started to leave.
"Yesterday, the royal guards found a shop selling magical goods!" The man yelled out from the podium.
I stopped dead in my tracks, I had to stay now.
"The shop was raided by two elite teams of guards. There were seven wizards in the shop, but it is believed that there are more wizards who weren't present." Many of the people around me let out gasps: "Out of the seven wizards present, three of them were killed, two were captured, and two escaped." At the mention of the captured and killed wizards, most of the busy crowd clapped, some even let out shouts, expressing their hatred for magic users.
"The evil wizards killed eight of the guards who bravely sacrificed themselves to ride the kingdom of magic doers. There will be a memorial for them in three days at the town square. If anyone has any information about magic users, or they come in contact with a magic user, please contact the closest official."
I felt sick, I can't stay here, but if I rush away too quickly I would make myself look suspicious. My breath became shallow as I started to fret what I would do.
I looked around to find a place I could hide for the time being. My eyes landed on a tavern named
Angel's Share. I started to head over to it, trying to not look anxious or walk too fast.
