"Its getting dark we should find somewhere to rest," Quintin said while driving with James down the road. He pulled up next to Nicole's car and James shouted from the passenger side "Follow us!" She nodded and about a minute later they pulled into a convenient store parking lot. It was already dark outside, a flickering street light, trash flying across the road, a sign on the window saying 'Take whatever you need, God bless you.', a distant flickering light in the back of the store, and a faint sense of security.
Surprisingly there was no Infectors so they all just sat somewhere on the floor and surrounded a propane lantern that they found in the store.
"So...what now?" Nicole asked
"We are going to a place to pick up somebody;" Quintin explained "She is in Atlanta."
"What?!" James said "for one person? What makes you think your friend is still alive?"
"I know she is."
"She? Who is this girl?"
"Autumn. She was at a family reunion."
James then said "Alright then after we find Autumn, who may or may not be dead, then what?"
"Find Irig and kill him."
Ograz came out of no where and said "You are not fully trained yet."
Quintin sighed "I know but you never know what's going to happen. Now if you guys don't mind I'm going to think this whole thing through by myself."
He got up and walked to the back.
"If he is willing to risk his life and everyone else Leslie must be something special and unique," Emily said.
"Who made him leader anyway?" Nicole asked "I know he can protect us but risking all of our lives to save one person is insane."
Ograz appeared in solid form "There is always a method to him madness."
"Isn't there a cure or something to this?"
"Yes the only way to fix it is to kill the man who created it, King Irig."
"What happened with him anyway?"
"Some kind of fight he lost when he was once a leader of Nitni."
Quintin came back and negotiated about the exact plan of action "Alright so we head for Macon and we don't stop for anything unless it's another survivor. We give them fake names until we know they will fight for us."
"What about hoards?"
"Ograz and I will deal with it."
"So we don't get any kills?" Emily asked.
Quintin looked aggravated "Look we will cross that bridge when we come to it," he sighed "then we advance towards Atlanta."
"There is one thing I don't quite understand," said James "What if Irig comes to us?"
"We...." Quintin hesitated "we fight."
It was quiet for a moment.
"What are the chances of that happening anyway?" Nicole said "We should just get some rest."
Everyone slept behind the counter close together from the brisk cold of the night. The only sound that was being made was the ruffling of clothes on the hard ground. As the sun rose the next morning you could see overcasting clouds reaching from horizon to horizon. Quintin stood out in the windy weather as his hair blew back behind him like a paladin on the top of a mountain of skulls. Emily came out looking for Quintin.
"You the only one up?" Quintin asked.
"Yeah I think," Emily responded "I need to ask you something."
"And that would be?"
Emily walked up to him and rubbed his stomach from under his shirt. Her hand went towards the direction of his penis "Do you want to? It would only be once and no one would know."
A boner grew in his pants "No, I have someone that may still be alive."
"Oh I understand..."
Quintin nodded "Good now I must check the oil level on the cars." Without another word he went to the cars to check them out.
Emily whispered to herself "Actually I don't know."
