Making my way in the school hall, embarrassed is a small word to what I feel towards what happened yesterday, remembering how he was checking me out and that smirk on his face and don’t forget about that comment “Well you are a girl”. He returned yesterday saying her forgot his wallet.
I snort loudly attracting attention to me, I am a girl what did he think? As I took my books out of the locker I heard my name being called, I turned around and saw Stella making her way towards me.
“Hey Alex!” she said excitedly “How are you? Did you see the girl, who shaved her head to almost not hair at all and dyed it blue?” yes, she loves gossip although I just met her yesterday she almost told me every rumor and gossip going around in our school.
I chuckled and shook my head “Good morning Stella and no I haven’t”
She gasped “How could you not, she just passed by you, twice!”
I shrugged “I don’t pay much attention to the people around me, why keep starring at people when I know I don’t want them starring at me?”
She rolled her eyes “alright Dr. Phil, come on we’ll be late for class” she hooked her arm through mine and we made our way to Biology class. Stella kept talking about some girl, who hanged out with our basketball team and the rumor about her sleeping everyday with one of the team; the rumors were so strong that the girl didn’t come to school today.
I just nodded at anything she said and didn’t give her my opinion on anything, because honestly I don’t think that she’s sleeping with the entire basketball team, I think that they are friends and there is nothing wrong with hanging out with friends, it’s not her problem that she feels more comfortable around boys than girls, yet there is a chance that the rumors are true. But one thing I learnt is to never believe a rumor, because when I believe one I lost everybody and turned to what I am today. I remember being called a s- STOP! No you won’t remember, it’s in the past and it will be kept there forever!
I shook my head and fight back the tears and tried to listen to Stella “-So basically that’s the rumor, what do you think?” she asked as we made our way to the counter, as we sat down I turned to her and raised my eyebrows “You don’t want to hear what Dr. Phil have to say”
She laughed “You are hopeless”
“Who’s hopeless?” I turned and saw Nathan sitting down; I glared at him and he just smirk “Good morning Stella”
“Hey Nate!” she waved at him, he sighed and said “it’s Nathan, Stella, Nathan how hard can it be to say my name?”
“Well, not hard at all, I just like teasing you cousin” Stella grinned at him and he just glared at him, I chuckled at the little family argument as it reminded me of Matt and I, he hates it when I call him Matty and always scowl at me.
“What are you laughing at Alex?” Stella asked
“You two are acting like children, which is cute” I grinned at them
“It’s good that we are entertaining you Alaska” I froze and balled my fist
“Don’t ever say this name again and I swear to god, you won’t be able to see straight for a week” I hissed and glared at him. I hate this name, no you don’t it just remind you of her , I don’t want to remember I don’t want to feel this pain again, you are stuck with it forever after all you were named after her.
“You can’t do anything to me Alaska” that did it, I stood up and punched him straight in the face, he didn't expect it and fell off his chair. The entire class fell into silence and I looked at Stella and saw a shocked look on her face way to go now a rumor will be out about a violent girl I closed my eyes and let out a long sigh, then took my bag and left the class. I can’t take classes right now, I need to calm down, and I need to be able to breathe again.
