~Lavender Evans POV~
"Lily, Lavender, we have to go, we're gonna be late!" Mom yelled from downstairs
"Shoot shes right" Lily said as she checked her watch.
Luckily, we only live about 10 minutes away from King Cross, it's sort of hard to be late.
"You excited to go back?" Lily asked as we got in the car.
"I guess so" I said
"You don't seem it" She said
"Eh, I guess I'm just more nervous then excited" I said
"Come on Lav it always ends up fine" She said
"I know" I said.
In all honestly it always works out fine for her, she's Lily, I just manage.
"Okay girls, we're here" Our dad said.
Petunia has a dance competition today that they have to leave for, so we said our goodbyes at home.
Lily and I made our way through the station, walking until we got to platform 9 and 10.
"Well, here we are, 9 3/4, ready for another year?" Lily said
I was about to reply when I felt a tug on my shirt.
"I'm sorry to interupt, did you guys just say platform 9 3/4? I'm looking for it" A little boy said as he pulled out his Hogwarts letter.
"Yes we did, here let us help you, I'm Lavender, this is my sister Lily, we can help you get on the platform, Lily will go on first to show you, then you'll give it a shot, right Lily?" I said
"Absolutely, I'll meet you on the train Lav" Lily said before she ran at the wall between platforms 9 and 10.
"Oh my god. How is she not dead?" He asked
"Magic is a wonderful thing, so, since it's your first year Id recommend doing it at a bit of a run, I promise you, you'll be fine" I said
"Okay" He said hesitantly, after a second he ran through the wall.
I've tutored since last year, I've always enjoyed helping the younger years, it's comforting to me to make an impact.
~Lily Evans POV~
I love going back to Hogwarts. Lavender always plays it down. But I love it.
I made my way through the crowded platform, finding an empty compartment.
"Hey hey Lils" I heard
"Hey, how was your summer?" I asked marking my page in my book.
"Pretty boring, but, I survived, I'm ready to be back though" Marlene said
"Me too" I said, of course that peace didn't last long though.
Only the Marauders can ruin a moment as good as this.
"Aye Evans, how was your summer" Potter said
"None of your concern Potter" I said
"It's a lot of my concern actually" He said as he sat down next to me.
This'll be interesting.
Not sure if I can live another year of Potter always being up my ass.
I tuned out a lot of conversation until my attention got snapped back, it was probably close to 20 minutes later Id say.
"Hey Lily, where's Lavender? She came back this year, right?" Remus asked
"Yeah, I'm not sure where she is though, she was helping some first year get through the wall onto the platform, sometimes I don't get why she's so exceedingly nice, I hope she didn't miss the train" I said
