Okay, so you guys are going to be confused unless you the following notice. SO READ IT!
Notice that this is chapter six, not twenty one. I thought that when Alex and Debbie got to America, I kind of rushed it, (I didn't do anything to describe how they got to the ranch and all) so this is a chapter when they're on their way back to the Locary ranch after picking up Alex and Debbie. You don't need to read this chapter to understand the rest of the story, but it will end up in the published version of Texas Stars. Enjoy! (If you read it...)
Debbie
"So do you have any other siblings?" Ma turned out to be quite talkative and fun for being, well, a mother.
"Nope," I shook my head and smiled.
"I have two girls," Ma continued, "They're probably around your age, maybe younger. How old are you?"
"I'm fifteen," I smiled.
"Oh how wonderful!" Ma clasped her hands together, "They've just turned fifteen as well! How old is Alex?"
"Did I hear my name?" Alex looked back at us from the front seat.
"Yep, Ma asked how old you were," I grinned.
"Sixteen ma'am," Alex tipped an imaginary hat, "I almost wasn't able to come over to America because I was getting too old," He laughed.
"That's very nice!" Ma laughed with him, "Isaac here is seventeen, so I'm sure you'll both get along very nicely."
"I'm sure," Alex smiled and went back to his conversation with Isaac.
Isaac was indeed something else. We had been traveling a couple days now, and he had yet to say something voluntary. Was he uncomfortable around people he didn't know? Or was just not talkative period?
I had tried once or twice to get him to say something, but he'd only say, "Yes," Or "No," So I wasn't really making much progress.
Alex got further than me, but he would still dominate any conversation he had with Isaac.
Surely he talked more than just that.
"There's a nice grove of trees over there, Ma," Isaac's voice snapped me out of my daydreaming. My jaw dropped. Did I just hear Isaac talk without being talked to first?
"Watch out for flies Deb," Alex smirked at me and I instantly closed my mouth.
"That'll be just fine, Isaac," Ma adjusted her shawl, completely oblivious to my previous escapade.
"Let's see," Ma rummaged around the back of the wagon, "Where did I put the lunch hamper?" She muttered to herself.

"What was your favorite birthday?" Alex was resting his elbows on his legs which were crisscrossed.
"When I was seven and Pa gave me Lightning," Isaac replied.
"What's your biggest fear?" Alex continued firing questions at Isaac.
We were playing Twenty Questions which was a game where there were two people, and one would fire questions at the other person, and at the end of the twenty questions the person who was asking would have to tell the other person all of those twenty facts. Whoever remembered the most facts won.
