I love you too...

Ace POV

I come out of the bathroom to see Kalani on the couch on her phone. 

I smile to her since she hasn't realized I was staring at her as I lean against the door frame and continue to stare at her until I see her confuzzled face look up at me. 

I chuckle and say, "Come on cutie, lets go", she gets up and...rolls her eyes...? 

"Did you just roll your eyes at me?!" 

She walks past me, I scoff and grab her wrist before she can walk out of the room. She looked at her hand with a slightly shocked face before it was wiped away and replaced with a cold face,

"let go of me". 

I did the opposite. 

I pulled her towards me and onto the nearby wall. She's caged in between my arms when she starts to look scared again. Good.

"Now tell me what's with the attitude", in a very very soothing tone. 

"I have to go home" She tries to push me off but I push myself into her more. 

"Ace!" she shouts and I step back. 

I'm shocked, she has never done that before. 

"Omg, just stop doing that!". 

Stop doing what? 

"Kalani..." 

"No! I'm so sick of this. Stop pretending like you care. I know you do this, pulling girls on until they like you then pretend like they're just friends. Just stop."

I'm speechless. 

"You know what's sad?!" I can hear the pain in her voice. "I am just like them! I hate myself! And I hate you! But..." her voice trails off. "...because I love you." She looks down for a second before she continues.

"And here I am looking like a stupid idiot because I'm crying in front of my ultimate crush like I've taken truth serum, I guess I don't need it. Sigh...I'm leaving." 

She turns back to see my face, which is still frozen by the way, as she says "Bye Ace, I'm sorry". 

Bye? 

Sorry? 

Sorry for what? 

It's hitting me...she's walking away. 

No. 

I can't. 

I can't let her. 

I run downstairs and call out to her "Kalani! Kalani, wait!". 

She walks faster out the door as my run becomes faster and I follow her out onto the driveway.

 "Kalani!" I call as I turn her around to face me. Tears falling from her face like a waterfall. 

This is it.  "Kalani...I love you too".
