Kalani POV
Rain. It's raining.
I open my eyes to the sun shining from the window while its heavily raining.
I smile, it reminds me of home. Today is Sunday. My favorite day.
As my senses slowly start to come out of sleep, I feel a weight on my curve, just like I've felt for what feels like forever. I smile as I turn around to see the only face that I need...
It's him...my Ace.
Yes...my Ace.
My love.
"MOM!!!!!!!" I hear coming from downstairs which is followed by heavy footsteps leading up to my room. I laugh to myself before groaning and sitting up in the bed. My bunny stirs in his sleep before waking up to meet my eyes.
"Good morning princess"
"Good morning babe", my short conversation with my husband was cut off with my son barging through our bedroom door.
"MOM! REIN PROMISED TO TAKE ME TO GET MY DONUTS BUT DIDN'T WAKE ME UP ON TIME AND NOW SHE'S SAYING ITS MY FAULT AND SHE WON'T DO IT ANYMORE!!!!!" I laugh to my husband who is trying not to burst out in laughter before I respond, "You know your sister really is like your grandfather". My dad.
That's when my husband lost it and cackled darkly. I give him an amused look and look back at my 10- year- old son before my 13- year- old walks through the door with the most irritated look on her face. "Yes, my love?" I respond to my daughter with an amused tone.
"Sloan didn't wake up, so I don't know what to say".
"What did you promise him?" My husband asks her with an irritated laced tone.
"He asked me to take him to Krispy Kreme and I refused so he asked if we could go in the morning, and I said if you wake up then I'll take you, but he didn't so".
My smile doesn't fade as my husband responds with "So why can't you take him?"
"DAD!" I chuckle finding the situation totally hilarious. He is about to say something before I try to defuse the situation.
"Ok! ok! Let's calm down folks."
My husband smiles up to me, "You are the worst."
I chuckle again before putting on my serious hat.
"Ok, Rein, you promised your brother and I get where you're coming from so let's do this, if you take him like you promised, I will give you money to buy your donuts and some extra to buy whatever you both want. Or you can take him any other day and YOU will have to pay for it." I say pointing to Rein, emphasizing the you.
"MOM!!!" she shouts, clearly displeased.
"Sorry hon, you promised him and don't make promises you can't keep." My husband smirks at me as I look back at Sloan, "And Sloan, you are to not mock, or behave inappropriately with your sister or I will stop sticking up for you, so don't take advantage."
"Ok mommy!." I smile to my kids, my daughter practically glaring at me. My son leaves the room and I call my daughter to me. "Hey baby, I'm sorry, I know having a brother is the worst, but how sometime this week me and you can go somewhere together, no boys, how about that??" She smiles at me and nods.
"Ok go then. Watch your brother and don't die!!"
"Ok mom!!". After a while I hear the front door close and turn my attention back to my husband who is smiling at me like he just got some candy.
