I was looking on my computer, looking at these jobs that seemed open.

"Side job for a cafe?" I said.

That sounds like a side job I could do. It was a place open for register.

"Well, I can schedule myself when I'm available. Which, I can try this tomorrow." I typed stuff out, applying for the job.

After a few minutes, they accepted me to give it a shot, and I was glad.

"Yes.." I muttered.

The Next Day

Today was a day where I didn't need to go to the office until later.

This cafe job was only 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM, and then it's somebody else's turn to take the register as I do my other job.

So here I was, driving to the cafe.

I had to leave Bad in the car, but he'll be able to see me through the windows, so I shouldn't need to worry about Bad scratching my door even more.

The little bean has me in his sight, so it's all good.

"I'll be back later, Baddie." I pat his head and exited the car, entering the cafe.

Right down it was 6:40 AM, before the cafe opened.

"Hi! You must be the guy applying for the register job?" A girl asked.

"Yeah, I am." I nodded.

"I'm Hannah Rose, the manager of the place." She had a rose pin in her curly brown hair.

"Okay, I'm Zak Arnelle." I responded. "It's uh- nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you, too, Zak." She smiled at me. "Have you ever used a register before?"

"No, but I could get the use of it. I'm in kind of a need for a side job." I nervously laughed, rubbing the back of my head.

"Come here, I'll show you how to do it. You'll have plenty of time to get the course." Hannah signaled me to go onto the other side of the counter.

After a good 20 minutes of practicing the course, the cafe was opened.

I looked up and saw Bad staring at me from the window of the car.

How cute. I wonder how many people are going to notice him. I thought.

It's normal to find a weird looking creature in a car, right? Better hope he can withstand the heat forming in the car.

He looks like he can handle it, hence to the heat radiating off of him.

"First customer coming in." Hannah said. "Good luck."

"Eh?" I looked at her, but she walked into the back room.

Oh.. This better not be as hard as I think.. I thought.

Later on.

I was about to greet another customer, but then she pulled down her sunglasses.

"..Charlie?" I said.

"Zak?" She responded. "Oh my god, hi!"

"What the hell? I haven't seen you since you were nine!" I was completely shocked as I didn't expect to see a childhood friend.

Charlie was a nice girl. She was braver than me when we were young. Here, she has curly chocolate hair.

"Why, how are you?" She asked, cheerfully.
