'Who are you boy?'
A middle-aged man appeared behind the door. Which was strange because Chuuya lived alone.

'I'm looking for a high-school boy called Chuuya.'
Dazai able to stutter the words out.

'Chuuya? I don't know a person who that name. Are you playing with me?' The man got more and more angry and half-shouted it.

When the man was about to shut the door, Dazai pushed back, shouting desperately,  'Please, he has to be here! I don't know where else he'll be.'

Suddenly Dazai's arm was pulled away, he fell back with a large thump when the door shut in his face, he sat on the floor staring back at the door.

The man seemed to be a bit concerned about him as he opened the door again, 'hey you okay? Look kid do you want me to call your parents?'

Dazai shook it off, picking up his things. Then he noticed an old lady was beside him, the person who grabbed his arm.

'Please excuse my Grandson, he must have messed up his friend's address.'
'Um ok. Watch your grandson ok?'

Dazai then was invited to her home, it was small, and old-fashioned.

'Thank you.' Holding the cup of tea, he took in his surrounding, getting a nostalgic feeling like he's been here before, the granny too, like he knew her before.

Ah yes! Something snapped in his mind. He's has been here before, when he was Chuuya.

Though everything was older, a few photos were missing. Dust everything. Even the granny had more wrinkles than he remembered.

'You came a long way.' The granny said, which snapped him out of his thoughts.
'Yeah. Well thanks for that, I guess? He probably would have called the police on me.'

'Let's get to the point, why are you looking for Chuuya?'
That was unexpected. Dazai hesitate for a second, his heart leaped hearing his name, before saying, 'I have been having dreams of him, we swapped bodies. But up to now I'm not sure about anything...especially after what just happened.'

The granny took a sip and stared back at him, making Dazai uncomfortable, maybe he should leave before she thinks he's insane .

'Chuuya was a really kind boy, he helped me all the time. He did lived there before the man moved in.

I don't know how you knew him. But he did told me something about a boy with brown hair who he kept seeing in his sleep.

I always believed in soulmates, that how I met my husband.'
'I never said soulmates Granny.'

'Well he really liked you,' she continued ' "a really good-looking guy who seemed to be pretty fun to be around. Though he sometimes is annoying messing around my things, I just want to see him for once."

Dazai blushed a bit. If only he could tell him face to face. Maybe they are soulmates?

'Where is he now?'

'I'm sorry boy but you are three years late.
He died three years ago. He got hit in the head by some gang, they are arrested in prison now. But that won't bring him back right?'
Her voice breaking, 'Silly boy, I always told him not to fight.'

If Dazai was still holding the teacup in his hand, it would have fallen burning his legs.

The first thing that appeared in his head was the nightmare of the blue eyes losing its spark, or dying. He should have figure it out before.

It was the end. Whatever happened it doesn't matter anymore. What's the point if he's already gone.
His world broke down, he has been chasing a ghost with the hope that he would find some who he thought was destined to be together.
