When the boys eventually got inside the chariot, Prince Ray didn't look Norman's way, he just stared out the window. Prince Norman found it odd, when he could just hear the trundling of wheels against the stones. The quiet between them was just too weird. So Norman struck up a conversation. "Um, brother..." He quietly said. "Shut up, I'm not your brother." Prince Ray sternly answered. Norman didn't know what to say back. "The ride to the Market is quite boring right? Why don't we play rock paper scissors or something, maybe Sudoku?" Norman suggested. "I said shut up." Prince Ray replied and this time it shut up Norman.
When they did arrive, Ray whispered to Norman before he got out of the chariot. "Stay away from Princess Emma." And walked off. "What did I do wrong?" Norman asked feeling guilty. When he exited he saw such a beautiful scene.
A flower bed that surrounded the whole Market, with people travelling across it. In and out. Passing and trading. Eating and buying. And there were other royalty with crowns.
One was Emma and just by seeing her, Norman's heart flustered. But there was also Prince Oliver in the North of Goldypond. And Princess Ayshe that was in the far parts of the country. Other then that there was also Prince Adam who was in the Testing Community down Norman's kingdom. There were all sorts of people and royalty.
"Norman, your here!" Princess Emma skipped towards him, and Prince Ray glared as he snarled watching the pair. "H-hi Emma. I mean Princess Emma." He blushed and looked away to not make anything obvious. "Is this your first time here?" Emma asked. "Yes actually. I'm here with my brot- I mean, Prince Ray, I think he went before." Prince Norman answered. "Well then come with me, I can show you around!" Princess Emma grabbed his hand and took him forward. "This place is awesome when you think of it. There's so many activities! Look, here's a chicken eating contest, or a quiz, or a place where you can find teddies of all sorts, and there's so much more!" Emma exclaimed excitedly. Norman watched her warming smile and squeezed her hand tighter, as he looked back to Prince Ray who was talking with Prince Oliver. "So, where would you like to go first?" Emma asked jumping on the spot. "Maybe somewhere we can get Porridge?" Norman asked. "What's Porridge, sounds posh." Emma replied. "You've never tasted Porridge? Let me find you some. They used to give it to me for breakfast every morning back at Knight's Training, and I kind of miss it." Norman informed her. "Wait! You were a knight before?! Cool! Tell me about it! Wait, if your a Knight then you should be able to help me with this Challenge!" Emma grabbed him to a stall, where you would have to use a dart to shoot at the targets. "I wasn't the best knight, I lost my first battle." Norman scratched his head and smiled.
"But I'll try for you..."
Emma watched his eyes as he picked up the spear. "Lets go Norman! Woohoo!" She cheered on.
All Norman had to do, was to hit the target in the middle, and if you got it three times in a row, you won a teddy.
C'mon Norman.
The distance is about 1 metre away from us, throwing at a ninety degreee seems like the best option.
So Norman thought threw the dart. And it landed! "Yay! Now the next one! And the next too! You can do this Norman!" Emma exclaimed and jumped around.
The second time was successful too!
It was just the third time, he almost lost, but they let him away with it. "Norman you did it!" Emma smiled. "I'm pretty sure I failed the last time, I'm pretty weak. But I'll get stronger soon." Norman said as he was handed the prise. It was a teddy, a light blue one. "You can have it." Norman passed it to her. "Really? But you did all the work. I don't want to take the credit." Emma refused. "But you cheered me on, and that's what got me the prize." So Norman handed it to her. "But my cheering did nothing." Emma replied. "It did something to me." Prince Norman smiled and took Emma's hand as he asked her what they were going to do next.
