The circumstances made it so that before Jimin managed to meet his professor for a ''coffee date'' he had a doctor's appointment. He'd dreaded the visit from the moment he read the message. The boy was scared to know what bad news came to him next.
When he had fallen asleep that night, cradled in the arms of his beloved, Jimin couldn't stop his heart from beating in a quickened rhythm. He was so worried that something was wrong with him. He didn't want another problem. He didn't want to burden Jungkook any more than already necessary. He didn't want something to happen to him. Most of all, the younger just didn't want to leave his man, ever.
Flashes of horrifying images and dreadful test results plagued his dreams all night. He'd woken Kook up with his distressed whimpering and it had taken the older man about half an hour to lull Jimin back to sleep. He'd murmured soft words, love confessions and reassurances at three in the morning, gently holding his baby boy against him.
The warmth had calmed the dancer down. Had let him sleep a little easier till the moment they woke up.
Jimin wanted to know what was wrong with him before he started to worry Jungkook about his health. He swore to himself that he would tell the man everything no matter what the results were.
But the problem in his determination was that Jimin has never expected this:
"We need to do some additional tests to confirm it, but from what we have now, it looks like you, Mr Park, are pregnant."
For a moment there, Jimin's brain just... paused.
"I-- what?"
His doctor, Lee Minho, chewed on his lips a little, cocking his head as he stared at a piece of paper that held the results of Jimin's blood test. "The information displayed here indicates that you might be with child."
The blond head shook, still confused over anything else. "But I'm a-- I'm a male! I don't have a womb, or--"
"I know, Mr Park. Please, just--. This is quite extreme for all of us."
His hands shook as Jimin tried to gulp down non-existent saliva. His throat was so dry he'd need a lake to wet it. "Can't you ch-check again? I-I mean--"
"Oh, I definitely will, don't worry," Doctor Lee squirmed in his chair. It was clear that he was at a loss as well but was still trying to act professionally. "I'd like to also get another blood sample and a urine sample if you don't mind."
"O-of course, whatever you need," Jimin blurted out. His heart was doing flip flops in his chest and brain pulsed due to all the action the blood flow provided.
He'd expected to be told that he might have an incurable disease or something of that sort. But no a child! How can a man get pregnant!?
"Here's a cup to fill for the urine sample. Let me just take your blood before you go to the bathroom."
Jimin just nodded and took off his - well, Jungkook's - hoodie. It was hard to take blood from a vein otherwise, so the blond figured he'd rather remove the thick fabric.
