Jimin stood outside the door of his own house, not wanting to go inside. That was what had happened every time he came back from school, and after that - from university. And it was the same now.

His eyes travelled over the wooden door, noticing the chipped frame and slightly rusty doorknob.

He had grown up in this house. He knew of its every flaw... Inside and out.

Jimin had grown up in a loving family. At least at first. But then the tattoos appeared, and something in his mother just switched. She had been shocked and scared. Just as Jimin and his dad. None of them understood what exactly was happening, and neither could the doctors explain it to them. At least - not the truth.

At first he was accused of getting the tattoos himself. Yeah, right. At the age of ten. But his parents began believing that he didn't when they saw one form underneath their own eyes.

That was when he first heard his mother call him cursed. And the insults didn't stop. They only grew during the years he tried to manage his situation.

Creep.

Satan's child.

Demon.

Nature's mistake.

Jimin was everything and more in his mother's eyes.

She just couldn't take the idea of he son being magically changed into looking like a different person. She hates tattoos.

The only help he had was his dad. (And Hobi later on.) His father was more understanding. He kept telling Jimin that his mother didn't mean what she said. That she was just confused and scared.

He kept saying it was not Jimin's fault...

But the words meant nothing when all Jimin saw, when he fell asleep, was his own mom's loathsome stare.

Sometimes he felt like nothing. Sometimes because of that he wanted to disappear. Jimin almost believed in all his mother told him.

Finding Yoongi had been a blessing in a way, that's for sure. He didn't have to stay the night at home when he could stay with Yoongi. But after they broke up Jimin moved back.

He never really did move out. He had visited almost every day to see his dad when he was home or get some other things and clothes. Now it was all back to the way it was before.

Jimin opened the door.

"Look, the spawn of evil is back!"

Jimin smiled sadly, "Hi, mom..."

She almost hissed, but muted her expression of hatred when Jimin's dad came into view.

"My dear boy, you're home!" he came closer to give Jimin a tight hug. "I missed you!"

Jimin hugged his father back. He buried his face in the crook of his father's neck and tried not to cry. The contrast between both of his parents made him both hate and miss his home dearly.

"I missed you too, dad."

"How have you been?"

Jimin nodded, saying 'fine' as he usually did. His dad had a job that required him to travel a lot. A lot of times he was out for multiple days and those were the times Jimin dreaded staying home the most. For the last few weeks he had tried to stay with Hoseok as much as possible. Hobi also lived with his parents, and because of that Jimin was not able to stay with him whenever he needed to. Even if Hoseok would have been okay with that, Jimin was too kind to just shive his own problems onto Hobi's family.
