Chapter 2

Hayasaka POV

It was the 2nd day, Kaguya-sama and I walked together to school. On our way there, we passed by the convenience store to confirm the existence of the 'Free' goods that Ayanokouji told us about yesterday and it was certainly there. Daily necessities were among those goods, whether it be food, toothbrushes or bandages. Kaguya-sama began to wonder on why these are offered but chose not to dwell on it because we simply lack the information to come up with a conclusion yet, and so we continued our walk to the school.

"Hayasaka, thank you for bringing me here. It has always been my dream to walk with you like this to school." Her sudden show of appreciation surprised me.

A lot of things has prevented us from casually do the things most normal teenager girls would, there was Kaguya-sama being a Shinomiya, and my duties as her personal assistant. There were no senior servants among the staff in the Shinomiya Tokyo Residence so I was in charge of everyone because I was working there the longest. Whether it be the staff members who cleans, the gardeners or the chef, I had to supervise them all, in addition to that, my duties to assist Kaguya-sama's and make sure her busy schedule goes smoothly. There was very little time for us to spend time with each other. I also had to report to that man before the day ends.

I had to do that every single day.

"Its the same for me Kaguya-sama." I said with a smile, I truly feel that way.

Nothing special really happened in school, the teachers were only orienting us about the course objectives, just standard first day of classes. Though if I had to point out something, they were very lax. That red haired delinquent whose apparently Sudou, was sleeping in class most of the time, none of the teachers tried to reprimand him, in fact, they just completely ignored his behavior. Maybe because it was only the first day that they let it go? I don't really know.

The classes continued like this. The girls invited me for lunch with Hirata and I accepted. Kaguya-sama said she'll be fine alone. Before we could go to the cafeteria, an announcement was broadcast through the school speakers, something about holding a club fair in the Gymnasium at 5P

Since I was saving points, I ordered the cheap lunch set, it was very bland. For someone whose eaten everyday before at the Shinomaya's, the food prepared there was always a delicacy. Common food is even better than this, it will take a while before I get used it.

"Hayasaka-san, why are you eating the cheap lunch set? You have a lot of points to order better food you know?" A girl named Shinohara asked.

"Hmmm, I don't really feel like eating today." I answered.

"Really? Are you feeling sick or something?" Satou continued.

"Not really, I just had a heavy breakfast earlier so I wasn't that hungry now." I lied.

"Now, now, Hayasaka-san already said she wasn't that hungry right? It's not good to force her." Thanks for the save Hirata.

"Sorry, I was just worried Hayasaka-san." Satou apologized.

"It's fine." I said with a smile to assure Satou, it's good that they stopped asking.

Then, they about talked trivial stuff, while most of their attention was on Hirata, while I didn't contributed much to the talk unless they addressed me.

They were planning to check out the club fair this afternoon since Hirata would be joining the Soccer club and a few others are interested on joining other clubs. I passed on going with them since I'm interested if Kaguya-sama will join one, and they want back to talking about random topics. This continued until lunch was over.
