My mom let me pick my room first! I obviously took the biggest room, with it's own bathroom and huge closet. She then choose the other master bedroom, only my bathroom was bigger. There was 2 extra bedrooms, a living room, dining room, you know the normal house things. I was so excited I forgot about everything! I brought in all of our bags, while my mom called my grandma ( her mom), and some other relatives.

That night I barely slept. My new bed was a water bed, and it acted like I was swimming breaststroke. That wasn't the only reason I didn't sleep, I was scared, scared that my dad was looking for us. I also had nightmares of him beating my mom. That night I told myself I'd never speak to him again.

The next morning my mom told me that even though we moved I still had to go to school. Lucky for me, Hollywood High didn't start until tomorrow. So I had a day until my new high school. Wait, my first high school. I decide to text my friends Bri and Lexi.
" Hey guys! In Cali at my new house, which may I say, is HUGE!"

Lexi texted me back first, "OMG! Awesome! I wish I could see it.... I miss u already Kel!

Bri then said, "So your okay! Thank God! Why didn't txt us back at the airport yesterday!"

"Sorry I was boarding the plane, then I was super busy earlier today tho."

They then texted the same thing, WEIRDOS, "That's alright!"
We texted for about an hour. It made me feel like I was actuality with them. We were texting about High School, and what to wear, so I went into my room to look at my clothes. I only had winter clothes, sweaters, scarves, boots. So then I ran downstairs to the kitchen where my mom was making lunch from the little food we had brought. I told her that I didn't have any clothes for this weather, all if had was winter clothes. Even though it was winter, it's California, and it's hot! She asked me if I wanted to go shopping, to be honest I never thought she would ever say that to me. I went up into my room and changed into skinny, jeans and a t-shirt, best I could.

About a street away from our house, there was a huge strip mall. All designer brands, Michael Kors, Coach, anything you could ever think of was there. My mom knew I needed a new wardrobe so she didn't really put a limit on how much I could spend, but she told me to be smart, like only buy stuff I would actually wear.

We spent hours at the mall, I actually was surprised that my mom enjoyed this as much as I did. Then our shopping day wasn't completely over. We went to a furniture store a couple miles away from our house. My mom wanted to buy some furniture for the house. When we pulled in the parking lot, all I could see was sports cars, Mustang, Corvette. It was so cool! Inside the store my mom fell in love with all of the furniture. She finally decided on a couple of essentials like couches, tables, and lamps. We also went to a store for decorations for our rooms and entire house. I could finally get the room I always wanted, I thought to myself, but then I thought of my old room, and how much I love and miss it.
