I didn't even need to tell Baaul about my sudden fertility, because he had managed to smell it all the way outside my room which was mortifying on its own. Though, not nearly as much as being restricted to my room until we made it to our destination. Apparently, my pheromones were the strongest he had ever encountered before and even he was reacting to them. Yeek!

My mother's fertile time always lasted for 7 days and it was like clockwork. Thankfully, mine only seemed to last three, which gave me some small hope that this wasn't the start of a human-like reproductive cycle.

Baaul still, however, wouldn't let me out until we landed and he could put a planet's worth of air between us because I was still emitting. He tried to fight with me to keep me on the ship entirely while he searched for my father alone, but I nearly busted down the door in response to that suggestion.

I would not sit here in the ship while my father was out there on Jinitymer! We knew for sure that his ship was here now that we were close enough for manual detection, however his mask had been entirely shut off so not even I could access it with mine. It wasn't a good sign, because to do that meant one of two things. Either it was completely destroyed, or someone was deliberately locking it down.

We needed to find my father fast...

Jinitymer was a large, lush planet. I could see the various pink vegetation over blue water from the small window in my room. It was beautiful and only became more so as we descended down into its atmosphere. It was apparently a planet that provided oxygen, much like Yautja Prime and Earth so we wouldn't need to activate our breathing units...except Baaul did to keep my pheromones away from him. By the time we exited the ship, I honestly felt like he was overexaggerating the strength of it. Honestly, I felt fine and I couldn't smell anything other than my skin. Whatever. Big baby… not that I'd ever tell him that.

"Stay the required distance away, but follow me." Baaul ran his claws over his wrist device as he sent me what he meant. Through the mask, I could see he wanted me no closer than 12 feet from him and I had to grind my teeth to keep myself from being insubordinate.

"Got it." I managed to say.

If he heard the annoyance in my voice, he ignored it. "Your fathers ship is likely a day's journey in that direction." He pointed in the direction.

I didn't ask why we had settled so far away. If my father was injured or dead, then it was because of the Bad Bloods he had been hunting. We needed the distance to sneak up the best we could.

"Activate your breathing unit so your pheromones don't give us away. The last thing I need to worry about is an unmated Bad Blood going into a berserk mode trying to mate you." Baaul growled the obvious disgust and it pissed me off. I knew he hated humans, but I didn't think he'd be so bitchy just because a half one was making him react.

"Whatever, Baaul." I scowled and did as he asked, but not before he slammed me by my throat against his ship. Hard. He roared in my face and I immediately bowed my head.

"You do not understand that these males will take you against your will regardless of your status because it's the only way they can reproduce! These are honorless Yautja! They care not for rules! Only that you are female and can be used for rutting! Do you think your father would appreciate your first young conceived the same vile way that he was? Do you understand what that would do to him?" I remained quiet under his hold because it's what was expected of me, but also because I felt shame for not even considering that possibility.

There was only one thing that shamed my father, and that was his conception. Though he had absolutely no reason to feel guilty. He hadn't asked to be born, yet he was still punished for it. Yes. I did understand what it would do to him if I were caught by an honorless male in my fertile moments.
