You might need a bit of patience on this one. I spent a lot of time describing the relationship between you and Master Plo.

*

Anakin was one of your closest friends, yet you have never been on a mission with him and his men until now. You chose not to fight alongside anyone. If you ever did fight for the Republic, you fought alone. Solo missions were your forte and that was it. Although, the council suggested you went on a mission with someone for once in your life. Their words, not yours.

It was weird, the way you preferred things. Most people liked to fight alongside others, yet you didn't. You thought you could take everything head-on by yourself, which you have done so far. You saw it as an act of weakness to take more soldiers when all you needed was yourself and your lightsaber, nothing else. That's how it has been for a year, ever since you passed and completed your Jedi Trails.

You rarely enjoyed being a padawan under Master Plo. It was never Master Plo's fault, but his battalion's fault. They all knew you were stronger than what most padawans your age were, so they always tested you. And when it came to your safety, Wolffe was overbearing. You wanted freedom and independence. Now, you had that.

Although, this mission told you otherwise.

The Resolute was grounded on the surface of Coruscant. As you neared it, there waited Anakin and the entire 501st. Most of the men were loading cargo onto the large cruiser, but Anakin stood next to who you assumed was his captain. The clone wore blue and white armor with a blue shoulder pad on his left shoulder and a blue kama. His white helmet had a thermal reader standing straight up and down on the ride side. He looked like a captain.

Anakin and the trooper were talking amongst themselves. You had hoped you could just slip past Anakin and the trooper and board the cruiser, but that wasn't going to last very long. Anakin could sense his best friend's presence from ten klicks away. Once Anakin eventually noticed you, he averted his attention over to you.

"(Y/n)!" Anakin shouted, raising his hand to call you over to him. You smiled after letting out a small sigh and walked over to where he was, looking at him and his captain. "Good to see you finally coming on a mission with us. I begged the council to make you come on this one."

"Of course you did," you mumbled, a small laugh coming from Anakin's clone captain. You looked over at him, whose white and blue helmet covered his head. You immediately noticed the blue Jaig Eyes that were painted above his visor. You didn't know much about Mandalorian symbols, but Jaig Eyes, you knew.

"(Y/n), this is Captain Rex. My first in command. I think you two will get along..." Anakin introduced you two, but he was a little nervous about it. You didn't need to be a Jedi to know that.

Rex finally took his helmet off to address you with a salute. Seeing his facial features was nothing new to you, but you were still taken away by the handsome features of this clone. "General (l/n), it's an honor to be serving you on this mission." he addressed, standing at attention.

Instead of the generic clone haircut, Rex's hair was buzzed and dyed blonde. He had stubble across his chin and jawline, along with a small scar that was hardly visible on the tip of his chin.

"Nice to meet you too, Rex," you gave a slight bow in his direction, his hand soon dropping back down to his side. "May I speak with you for a moment, Anakin?"

Anakin looked over at you, a worried expression thick in his facial expressions. "Of course," he responded, acting cooler than he was truly feeling. You two stepped away from Rex, who turned around and began to help his brothers load more cargo. "What is it?"
