"Faster, (y/n)," Master Kenobi demanded.
You complied with his words, your footing working around the training arena faster than before. The blue lightsaber you wielded spun fast as you destroyed battle droid after battle droid. They were merely holograms, yet they fought and felt like real droids until you defeated them. It would take an entire slice through the droid's abdomen for the hologram to disappear.
Master Kenobi wasn't your master. He was just another Jedi who was willing to help with your training. Your actual master was Master Fisto. Though, he was never really around to train you. He was always doing some sort of business with the High Council or the Jedi Assault team. When Obi-Wan noticed that Fisto wasn't training you as much as he should've been, he stepped in and offered to train you. It has been about two weeks of training with him.
You didn't mind it. In fact, you liked training under Obi-Wan. He was a cunning Jedi with quaint skills in the Jedi Arts. The one thing you disliked about Obi-Wan training you was his clone commander, Commander Cody. The trooper never left Obi-Wan's side, so he watched you train almost every single time you entered this training facility with Master Kenobi. It was distracting, to say the least. When that man removed his helmet, your eyes refused to leave his features. Cody knew it, too.
His high ranking in the Grand Army of the Republic intimidated you as well. He was always so stern when talking to you. There was never a time you were able to see his soft side. That is if the man had one. It annoyed you.
This time was one of the only times he didn't show up at his usual time.
"Quicker, (y/n). Droids are starting to surround you," Obi-Wan spoke. You increased your pace, deflecting the hologram blaster bolts and cutting through all hologram droids that you could reach. You have trained in this arena with this specific drill many times, whether it was Master Fisto or Master Kenobi training you. By now, it was a slice of cake. Yet, Kenobi still had to nitpick almost every single thing you did.
The formation was simple. You focused on your footing, swinging your saber and deflecting shots every time one was heading straight for you. The skills you had in lightsaber combat were immaculate. For never being trained by your own master, you had much free time to work on everything yourself. Obi-Wan was impressed at first, but he began to continue pushing you to become better than the Jedi you were yesterday.
The bright blue blade in your hand swung through hologram after hologram, the battle droids disappearing from the arena in the blink of an eye. The moves of the battle droids, even holograms, were predictable.
"Battle droids are easy for you, young one," Master Kenobi mentioned as you swung your saber through the very last hologram standing. Meeting your eyes with Obi-Wan's, it took a second to read what he had written in his eyes.
"What? Are you going to make me fight droid commandos or something?" You questioned, sheathing your lightsaber and crossing your arms. Your silver hilt remained tight in your grip.
"You seem confident in yourself against commandos. How about Droidekas?" Obi-Wan asked you as he waved his hand over the arena. New holograms reappeared in front of you, about five Droidekas and ten commandos. The ignition of your blue blade let Obi-Wan know you were ready for your new challenge.
Except, the minute you were ready to begin your new exercise, the arena doors opened to reveal none other than the one man who never left Obi-Wan's side during your training. A small groan left your mouth as you stood in your ready-stance.
"Cody," Obi-Wan greeted him.
"General," Cody greeted, his voice masked by his helmet. "How is she doing?"
