it had been close to 18 months since he went to the 3racha fansign. he still listened to their music and he tried to dm jisung, but he hadn't opened it. he probably didn't see it.
it was the beginning of april and minho was back at work in the little book café he owned, after a short break.
maybe not a café actually. it was more of a bakery. he really liked it there.
jeongin worked in the same café, so he was rarely bored. the coffee was really good and the customers almost always nice.
most people who came to the café were like him. slightly introverted, passion for books and enjoyed pastries, coffee and tea.
his two main bakers, taeyong and seokjin, had both helped him create unique recipes that kept the customers coming back for more. overall, it went really well for him.
if you would look past the fact that his soulmate had close to rejected him at least. okay, had definitely rejected him.
minho still found himself crying himself to sleep many nights. he just wanted to live happily ever after with his soulmate, with jisung, but it seemed to be too late. he would never meet jisung again, and even if he did the younger wouldn't want to talk with him.
maybe, just maybe, it was his own fault.
he shouldn't have told jisung like that. he should have eased it onto him, and he should have told jisung all the things, he knew the younger had thought about that day. but it was too late.
minho often wondered whether he should move on and try dating other people who didn't care for their soulmate, lost theirs or something like that.
he just wanted to be happy so bad, but when he spend all his time alone or with his friends, who had already found their soulmates, he just couldn't.
both of the cooks at his book café had found their soulmates, seungmin had met a pretty girl in his class on her birthday, and jeongin wasn't 21 yet.
he had other friends, of course, but it seemed they all wanted to spend time with their soulmates or be with them all the time. minho couldn't even blame them. if jisung was his, he would probably be the same way. he was just so jealous.
why couldn't it be him? maybe this was why he choose to drown himself in work and books. it took his mind off of their own world, and he could pretend to live somewhere else. how nice it was to not have to think about how he might never meet jisung again.
minho's day had been fine, nothing special really. the café weren't busy, so he was silently reading a jane austen book, something he often found himself doing, despite having read the books before.
he had his lunch break soon, and he couldn't wait to have one of seokjin's freshly baked croissants with an iced americano. it had gotten warmer out, and he didn't even need to bring a jacket to work.
