(Brittle Tusk)
Scraping the edge of a spear.
the sound of metal scaping metal.
Till there was a small plop.
A sound very similar to a rock being dropped in water.
Plop-plop.
The Umbra female sitting legs crossed beneath herself.
Looking up.
Scanning the surface of the water.
It calm surface disturbed by outward ripples.
Yet, she did not move.
Only observed.
Before seeing another small splash from beneath the surface.
Reaching over.
The Yautja female picked up her wooden rod.
Setting aside her knife.
She stood and unwrapped the string to it.
Watching the thin clean strand fall to the ground.
She unhooked a small bone from her belt, before attaching it.
Tying both string and bone together.---
Opening her pouch nearby.
She grabbed out a small slab of meat.
And hooking it onto the bone.
Swung back the rod.
And, flicked it forward.
Watching the string wizz out over the open water.
Then, plop!
The bone sat on the clear surface.
Before sinking down.
She'd wait some time.
Watching the water.
But, sitting down.
Pulled her pouch close.
Grabbing inside a small slab for herself.---
The wait was long.
But, she remained a the edge.
Again, sharping her blade.
Looking up now and then.
But nothing changed.
Grabbing the rod.
She'd stake the other end in the ground.
Then pulled the line in by hand.
Carefully wrapping it so it wouldn't get tangled.
Till she felt a tug.
And suddenly the string was pulling against her.
Which she'd yank back!
SNAP!
She almost fell back.
Looking out to the water.
Only catching a glimpse of the broken string dip under the surface.
....
She clicked.
Looking back at her rod and what string was left.
This time, she'd take the rod and lay it down only the ground.
reaching in her pouch and grabbing out a small pelt book.
The Female opened it.
Grabbing from inside her pouch a small vile.
Which she opened.
Dipping her long claw inside.
The tip of her claw now coated in a black substance.
She'd look to a blank sheet within the book.
Dragging her claw along the surface and writing in what she saw.
Before flipping through varies pages filled with further notes.
Plop-plop.
Turning her head to see the surface rippling.
The yautja female eyed the ripples.
Watching a black smooth dome pushed up from under the water.
With tusks seemingly poking out from the surface.End
