Wind rustled the leaves.
Earth children playing.
While, waters from the ocean crashed on shore in small waves.
Seagulls gliding about.
The day was full of sun and minimal clouds.

"Here, over here, here here here"!
Shouted a small boy.
His arms up and waving for his brother to toss the beach ball.

However, the moment the ball was passed over.
The wind would swipe it in a different direction.
The colorful ball bouncing into a gentle roll.
Stopping just at the beaches edge.

One boy came rushing over.
Kicking up sand and nearly stumbling.
He'd reach down to grab the ball.
Picking it up and hearing a weird zapping sound.
Looking all around.
He saw nothing.
His face of confusion faded as he shrugged and ran back to his brother.

Later.
Heading over to the car.
The boys laughed, gently passing the ball back and forth.
Night overhead.
Many of the beach light posts turned on.
Lighting up the boardwalk.
The one boy called out to his father.
"I have to go to the bathroom".
Catching the ball before holding onto it.

"Well, make it quick.
We'll pack the car okay.
To he bathroom and then right back".
Pointing his finger at his son.
And the child nodded before rushing off!

The other brother watched.
Waving his arms back and forth.
Then looked to his father.
"I gotta go to"!
And, the father huffed.
"Alright, go".
Taking the towel off his other sons shoulder.
"Go, and hurry up".
Waving at his son.

The second son running off towards the restrooms.
His sandals clapping against the pavement.
He could make out the lit restroom signs just over the fence around the corner of a building.
And, rushing around it, he nearly stumbled.
Seeing their beach Ball sitting beside the bathrooms.

Walking closer.
The boy picked up the ball.
Looking into the doorway to the public mens room.
"Zack"?
The light flickering.

The boy stared a bit longer.
Holding onto the beach ball, he walked inside.
"Zack hurry up".
Waiting by the sinks.
Staring at the four stalls along side the walls.
....
Unable to wait any longer.
The boy set the ball down and crouched down.
Pressing his face to the floor to look under the stalls.
But, didn't see his brothers feet anywhere.
....
Standing up.
The boy grabbed the ball.
Slowly walking out of the rest room.
He'd peak around the corner.
Looking back to the boardwalk.
"Hey kid".
The boy suddenly jumped.
Turning to see a man standing by the corner of the restrooms.

"You looking for your brother"?

Joining The Man.
The boy followed along side the man.
Rounding a corner to see a brown van.
Which made the child tilt his head.
The man gestured to the van.
"Yah he scraped his knee pretty badly.
I'm sure he'll be happy to see you though".

Holding tightly to the ball.
The child glanced up at the man.
But said nothing.
The man smiling, went to side door and grabbed the handle.
Pulling it open.
"He's inside.
...., go on".
The man waved.
But, the child didn't move right away.
"Are yoou suuuure he's in there".
Pointing his tiny finger at the open door.

"Of course".
The man smiled.
But just as the boy took his first step, he'd stop.
Eyes widening.
Claws curled out of the open door.
As Yellow eyes flashed!

The man nearly stumbling back!
As a large invisible being stepped out, jerking the van in the process.
In its arms it held Zack.
And, setting the boy down.
The two children ran away together!

The man almost falling back.
As whatever it was stood over him.
A blade unhinging with a shiiiiiiink!

The boys running as fast as they could.
Sandals clapping hard off pavement.
They'd reach the boardwalk.
Hearing a guttural wail.
But suddenly both boys crashed hard into something!
Both looking up.
They reached their arms out when they saw their father!
Who scooped them up, cradling them tightly.
