𝓕𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰 𝓞𝓾𝓻 𝓣𝓻𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓾𝓻𝓮 2: 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝐿𝑜𝑠𝑡 𝑃𝑎𝑠𝑡 (ateez)

𝓢𝔂𝓶𝓹𝓱𝓸𝓷𝔂 𝓝𝓸.9 𝓕𝓻𝓸𝓶 𝓣𝓱𝓮 𝓦𝓸𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓵𝓪𝓷𝓭

The ATEEZ ship tossed in the unforgiving waves created by a giant Kraken.

"Cannons are useless captain!! There's too many tentacles!!!" Mingi yells out to Hongjoong.

Hongjoong looks to Seonghwa who gives him a nod.

"It's time to bring out Shinestar." Seonghwa says boldly as he runs off to his quarters.

"Shinestar?!" Iridessa asks him in confusion.

Hongjoong smirks, "Yes, Shinestar."

Seonghwa comes back with a long range shotgun and starts loading it with gold colored bullets.

"Ohh Shinestar is a gun."

"Not just any gun, a secret weapon used to fight off monsters like this. Seonghwa bought it off of a merchant a long time ago. At first I didn't think it would come in handy but after we faced a giant squid, i saw it quite valuable."

Seonghwa comes up to Hongjoong, "Permission to fire, captain?"

"Permission granted." 

Seonghwa salutes Hongjoong then goes find a spot to shoot at the Kraken.

San slides down the rope from the crow's nest and he runs up to Seonghwa,

"There's a weak spot on his 4th tentacle!"

Seonghwa flips his gun and holds it up to aim, "thanks San." 

The quartermaster carefully aligns with the weak spot and he fires a bullet. It pierced the weak spot and the kraken roared in defeat as it began to let go of the ship and sink down into the depths of the sea.

Seonghwa blows the smoke from the other end of the gun cooly as if it was too simple of a task.

The crew cheers as the sea monster was gone and Hongjoong gives a proud high five to Seonghwa.

"Nice work, hwa!"

"Ah so that's the gun you sleep with every night." Yeosang says making Seonghwa turn around in embarrassment.

"W-what was that?!"

"I said good job hyung!~" Yeosang says with a smile and a thumbs up.

The crew laughs a little before Hongjoong gets their attention again.

"Everyone, look. The mist is fading."

As everyone looked around, indeed they saw the mist fading. The various battles with the sea monsters and ghost pirates even sirens were over.

"To your posts! Wonderland is up ahead!"

"Aye captain!" The entire crew replied.

The ATEEZ ship sailed a few more miles until it docked at the beach of Wonderland.

"ATINY crew stay back and watch the ship. The rest of us, freshen up, bring your weapons and whatever else you may need. We must be ready for whatever this island throws at us. Once we step foot, we are game pieces to Prince Junhee's game, understood?"

"Aye captain!"

"Good, stay alert, stay strong, and just keep it up."

The ATEEZ crew docked their boat at the beach but didn't get out just yet. They checked the riddle's next instructions.

"When on the island take only 3 steps! One step forward and one step back. The third step you make is your choice to spare. For once you make it, there's no return back here."

"We're really doing this? Aren't we?" Mingi asks after watching Hongjoong roll up the riddle scroll.

Hongjoong nods with a confident smile, "For San and his treasure! We risk it all."

San smiles back and gives Hongjoong a nod of thanks.

Everyone steps out of the boat and takes one step forward together, and one step backwards together.

They waited and nothing happened.

"Maybe there's a special spot we have to step on?" Jongho asks.

Before anyone could speak up, a glowing dark yellow portal opens up and sucks in the captain, iridessa and the master gunner.

"Hongjoong hyung!!"

"Dessa!!"

"Mingiiii!!!"

The portal disappears then another dark blue opens on the side, this time sucking in Seonghwa, Yunho and Wooyoung.

"What's happening?!" Melody asks as the portal disappears.

"Brace yourselves! Another may be coming!" Jongho exclaims.

As soon as he spoke, a mixed color portal opens this time, consisting of dark orange and dark purple. It sucks in Yeosang and Jongho before disappearing.

The portals no longer appeared making San and Melody look around the beach in confusion.

"W-why didn't it take us?? Where do we go?" San asks her.

Melody spots a red sign and gestures for San to follow her. The two of them approach the sign and see an arrow pointing to the jungle path straight ahead.

"I guess the island wants us to go this way to find the others." Melody tells San who nods in response.

The two of them go down the rough sandy path and make their way into the jungle of wonderland. They had no idea what was in it or what was in it for them. None of the ATEEZ crew members had a clue. For the king of Wonderland has them on his chess board and they were merely his game pieces.

Jun smirks as he watches everyone from his magic mirror.

"If you all can make it out of the rooms I've prepared for you, then maybe, I'll consider you worthy."

He leans in close to the glass, getting a closer view at San.

"But you, your highness, needs to work a little bit harder than the rest if you want to see your precious treasure ever again."
