"I'm Chrissy, my brother is a possible suitor for you."
"Oh." I said, and my brain added 'of course he is.' I don't know where that came from, but don't look at me, look at my brain. Chrissy smiles sweetly, and I cannot take my eyes off of her smile. Its pure beauty. The silence is quite uncomfortable, so Chrissy decides to speak again."Uhm, Sephora, yes?" she says. "Uh, I actually prefer Seph?" I try to say, but it comes out as more of a question. She grins at me, and I could've sworn there was a twinkle in her eye.
"Your name is Sephora. You were given a beautiful name, and I refuse to let you ruin the beauty with a juvenile nickname," my father cuts in, interrupting Chrissy and I's little grin session. My grin grows to a frown, but her smile stays.
She clears her throat. "Uh, Sephora, why don't you show me around?" Just at that moment, the world decides to play a trick on me; a coughing fit is the best answer, isn't it? She doesn't look at me weirdly, just waits for an answer, which I appreciate greatly. I finally settle on nodding my head, and making a hand gesture toward the stairs I came down from.
As she walks next to me, she pats my back with a smirk, and its almost as if I was electrocuted. I mean, I've never been electrocuted, but I'm pretty sure that's what it would feel like if I were. I wonder if she felt it too? I don't know what it is, but I have a gut feeling that she did.
We walk side by side up the staircase, and once we reach the top, Chrissy turns to look at me.
"I'll call you Seph. I don't want you feeling uncomfortable, and I think Seph fits you anyway. I'm trying to stay on the king of Kamiza's good side, so bear with me Seph."
I feel the sudden urge to hug her, and apparently she can read thoughts, because she pulls me in for a hug. That electrocuting feeling again. But not a bad electrocuting, a great one. The best one.
