My Reaper

Chapter Eight

I woke up to hearing laughter down stairs.  I smiled. I'm glad being back. I was walking down the stairs.
  "So what your saying if I wanna piss you off is kiss Elle." Juice said teasingly.    I walked into the kitchen and Jax was laughing.
  "Watch yourself buddy." Opie said waving a spatula at him.
  "Good morning baby." Ope said then he kissed my cheek.
  "Yeah good morning Harry." I said. Jax almost spat out his coffee from laughter.  Ope's face dropped. I started to laugh. Even juice was crying from laughter.
  He looked down and was mad.
  "Oh ope I'm sorry. I know that you hate that name." I said laughing.
  "Your lucky your cute. " he mumbled. I laughed even more, kissed his nose then sat down.  
  "Awww what about me Harry?" Jax asked teasingly. We all laughed, then I heard a knock.
  "I swear I hate you guys." Ope mumbled under his breath. We all died from laughter.
  "I'm gonna go get that. " I said. Then walked over to the door and opened it .
   "Ma'am I need you to come with me, I need you to walk me through the events because your story isn't adding up." He said looking behind me. I turned around and saw Ope with his arms crossed.
  "You think someone in the club did this?" I asked.  Hale cleared his throat.
  "Is she court ordered too?" Opie asked.  Hale crossed his arms.
  "No. I just need evidence." Hale said. I scoffed and called Tara. 
  She picked up on the third ring.
  "Hey Elle what's up?" She asked.
  "Hey can you show deputy dumbass my rape kit results?" I asked. Tara and Ope started laughing.
  "Yeah I can." She said chuckling.  Hale face was red.
  Then she hung up.
  "Dr.Knowles have everything you need. " I said then I closed the door. 
Ope walked back with me to the kitchen.
  "I'm staying here with you today." Ope said looking at the front door.
  "Ope. Dont worry about him. " I said.
  "It might not hurt. "Jax said while shrugging.  I looked at them shocked.
  "You guys voted on this did you?" I asked angrily.  Jax nodded.
  "Fine." I mumbled.   I felt embarrassed. I didnt know where the bathroom is.
  "Upstairs to the left." Jax said laughing. I rolled my eyes.
  "Ope you didnt give her a tour?" Juice asked wiggling his eyebrows.  I laughed and went to upstairs and walked into the bathroom.  It was beautiful, the walls were red with gold details.  The floors were a grey hardwood. Who knew the boys had so much taste. I saw the claw foot tub.  I smiled. After I was done I went to go back down stairs until I heard them talking.  I stopped and I started to eavesdrop.
  "So when are you gonna tell her?" Jax asked.  I heard someone sighed. 
  "I dont want to freak her out. " Ope said, someone scoffed.
  "She smart she gonna figure it out.  Your on protection duty until we find the guy." Jax said.  I walked into the kitchen. Jax looked at me then at Ope.
  "Talk to her." He said then he walked over to me and kissed my cheek.
  "I'll be back over tonight little sis." He said. 
  "Ok, be safe." I said smiling. He gave me a hug then Juice gave me a hug.
  "Love you." Jax said before walking out the door.
  "What was that about?" I asked. Ope looked down. He  handed me a plate full of food.
  "Nothing dont worry about it." He said then he leaned over the counter and gave me a kiss.
  "Sounded like to Jax it wasn't nothing." I said cutting into my pancakes.
  "You heard I'm guessing. " he said. I smiled and nodded.
  "Theres still one of them out there.  Tig was able to catch up to him but someone came driving by and smacked Tig with a metal pole, it knocked him off of his bike." He said. I looked down and sniffled. 
"The guy jumped into a black SUV." He said. I looked down.
  "Elle you alright?" He asked. I got up and looked down.
  "I just need a mintute." I said then walked up stairs to my bedroom.  I laid in my bed.  It's all making sense now, why Hale is so interested about that night.  On why they bought and fixed up this house.  Hale must thinks someone in the Club did it. They got this house to throw him off.
  "I'm gonna be here this time Elle, I'm not gonna let anything happen to me."  Ope said snapping me out of my thoughts.  I turned to lay on my back.
  "Ope hale wants me to go to the house and show him where everything happened. " I said. Ope looked down.
  "They never cleaned that place up. We got our stuff out but nothing that had blood on it." He said.  Then he held up his finger.  Walked over to the dresser and pulled out a box. He walked back over to the bed and handed it too me. When I opened it, I gasped. It was everything that my dad gave me when I was younger. Including the weird book.  I picked up the necklace he gave me for my 4th birthday. The metal crystalily E hangin off of it.
  "Ope." I said crying. He smiled at me.
"Well i knew how much these meant to you so me and wade cut a deal for me to get them." He said. I put the necklace back in the box carefully and moved it to the side I gave Ope an hug.
  "Thank you." I whispered in his ear.
  "Your welcome." He said. 
  Then he plopped down taking me with him.  I laughed and smiled at him.
  "You know your really beautiful." He said moving the strands of hair out of my face.  I looked down and smiled at him.  He pulled my face closer and kissed me.  I got up  and got dressed for the day then I went down stairs and watched family guy.  Ope plopped down on the couch.   He put his arm out and I moved over and put my head on his chest.  I caught Ope looking at me.
  "Take a picture." I said. He chuckled and looked away.
"Why would I do that when I could look at your beauty in person?" He asked. I blushed and shook my head. Ope ended up falling asleep and i started to fall asleep. The last thought I had was how lucky I was to have someone like Ope.
