LISA'S POV
I kept pacing back and forth across the room frantically. I was so damn worried. Why did Jennie fainted? Why isn't she regaining consciousness yet? The doctor had already checked on her but he still haven't given me a confirm findings.
When I saw Jennie's hand moved I hurriedly rushed back beside her. Relief washed over me when she finally opened her eyes.
"Hey~ how are you feeling?" I ask as I cupped her cheeks looking directly into her beautiful feline eyes.
"Fine." she answered softly while looking at the surroundings. "What happened?"
"You fainted." I inform. "You scared the hell out of me back there. Don't you ever faint on me again, okay?"
She smiled over my remark. "How long was I out?"
"Less than two hours."
Nervousness crosses her pretty face. "Two hours? What did the doctor say? Am I sick?"
"The doctor said that he's gonna confirm his findings first and he'll be back soon."
She wanted to ask more questions but got interrupted by the knocks on the door before the doctor went in.
"I'm glad the patient is finally awake." says the doctor with a smile.
Jennie smiled back. "Am I sick, Doc? Why did I faint?" she ask.
"Don't worry. You're not sick, you're pregnant. You fainted because of low blood pressure and it seems like you're also not having enough sleep."
Happiness and excitement filled my entire being but also worried for her condition. The baby she's carrying was no doubt mine. It's ours. "She's pregnant? Are you sure, Doc?" I asked with huge smile on my face.
"Yes, Lisa. I am sure. Please make sure she rests well and give her healthy foods. Avoid doing things that will stress her or both of them will be suffering." the Doctor patted my shoulders.
"Yes, of course. Oh my god! We're having a baby. Thank you so much, Doc!"
"Well, congratulations!" I thanked him and bowed as he leaves.
I turn to look at Jennie. From the look on her face I could see that she was still digesting the news. Is she happy to be carrying my child? If I would ask her to marry me now, would she agree? Of course, I wouldn't force her to marry me, I just want to try asking her. If she still refuse, it's fine with me. Giving me the rights to take care of her and our baby would be enough for me.
But what if she chose not to keep the baby? What if she thinks that the baby is only getting in the way of her plans in life? Many unnecessary thoughts flooded my mind but I quickly shook those thoughts away. Jennie wouldn't do that. She wouldn't kill an innocent baby growing in her womb but if ever she will, I am here to stop her. I will beg and even kneel infront of her if I have to just to keep our baby alive. Even if she ask me to leave in exchange I'm ready for it. I would do anything and everything for the sake of our baby.
When I saw a smile slowly forming on Jennie's face while rubbing her still flat tummy, I felt relieved wash all over me. Like a heavy weight has been lifted off me. She would be keeping the baby. How I wished that she would keep me too.

JENNIE'S POV
I'm pregnant with Lisa's child? Would the baby inherit his/her beautiful eyes? Would he/she inherit her charms as well? I'm happy but slightly worried. Am I ready to be a mother?
"Would it be too much if I'll ask you now to marry me, Jen?" says Lisa. "But it's okay if you still don't want to--"
I nodded. Whatever my beliefs about marriage before, I'm ready to forget all that. For the sake of my baby, I can give up those beliefs. It's true that I didn't want to get married, but my baby needs a complete family for him/her to grow up well.
My parents were always busy with their work so I grew up with only a nanny beside me but I won't let that happen to my baby. I would not let my baby live the lonely life I had as a child. I will make it work right for my baby.
"Yes. I will marry you." I stated.
Lisa's face brighten up with a huge smile, happiness filled her eyes then pulled me in for a hug.
"Thank you." she said then kissed the crown of my head. "I promise you won't ever regret this." she added. She looked into my eyes and I saw tears forming into her eyes. Maybe she could be a good parent to our child. I just hope that my decision is right.
___
Nervousness hit me. It is time to meet Lisa's family. What if they wouldn't like me? What if they have heard of my reputation and they believed the rumors about me? What if they wouldn't like me for her?
My train of what if's thoughts got cut off when I felt Lisa's hand grabbed mine and lightly squeeze it. She was smiling at me when I turns to face her.
"Don't worry too much. They'll surely like you." she guided me in their house.
Her family was perfect. They already loved me that instant and it's the same for me. They were the family I hoped I had. All of them were excited for the baby.
"Don't let Jennie work too much, Lalisa. It's not healthy for her and the baby if she gets stress and tired from work." says Mrs. Manoban. (A/N: I changed Lisa's parents last name from Bruschweiler to Manoban.)
"Yes, Ma. Actually we talk about her work the other day, for now she'll be working at home since she didn't want to quit and I'm thinking of hiring a stay in nurse to take care of her but she didn't like it." Lisa said earning a pinch on her sides from me.
"Oh, my God, sis? Are you for real?" Mayuree, Lisa's younger sister, commented while laughing. "Jennie is not sick so why would you hire a stay in nurse?"
"Of course to make sure she'll be fine." I heard Lisa defending herself.
"What about you? Shouldn't it be you who must take care of Jennie?" Mr. Manoban ask. They were definitely teasing her.
"Yes, of course I will take care of her. But I still have to work. What will I be feeding them if I'll stop working?"
"Then you must go home early." says Mr. Manoban. "Since you're going to get married now, you can't go to work early and come home late like how you do before. Jennie might return you back to us if ever, and that would be a huge headache for me and your Mom." Marco added that made them all laughed.
"Jennie Noona, once you married her, you can't bring her back to us okay. No return, no exchange." Neil, Lisa's younger brother, added.
"Yah, Neil! Aish! Why do you all make it sounds like Jennie is making the wrong decision by marrying me?" Lisa whined and sulk cutely in her seat. "It was so hard for me to make her agree to marry me and now it look as if you want her to back out already? Where's the justice here? I thought you are my family..."
They all just laughed at her.
I felt Mrs. Manoban held my hand. "Jennie, if you need something, don't be shy to tell us, okay. If Lisa gives you headache just tell us and we'll scold her. We're you're family now, you can come to us any minute."
Tears started to form in my eyes. I really appreciate their kindness. "Thank you, Ma." I said. That was what Mrs. Manoban wants me to call them -- Ma and Dad, eventhough me and Lisa aren't married yet. "I'll keep that in mind." I lightly squeeze her hand.
"No, we should be the one thanking you, Jennie. You are making our daughter happy." Mrs. Manoban hug me and I hugged her back. I now have the family I had been dreaming of.
