I was in my office typing up some flies when I was called to room 334. I put on my lab coat and walked to the room with Cierra.

"So, the patient was in a car crash, he's not fully woke but we think he maybe paralyzed from the waist down." She explained giving me the patient's information sheet.

"Woody McClain?"

"Yes."

"Sounds familiar." We continued walking to the room. She knocked on the door and we heard a come in.   There was a woman sitting next to the hospital bed.

"Hi, I'm Dr. L/n, and you are?" I held my hand for her to shake.

L/n, and you are?" I held my hand for her to shake

"Courtney Williams, his fiancé." She shook my hand I glanced at the patient.

"Well, he's in a coma, we don't know how long he'll be out. When he does wake up, we will have to take a few or a lot of test. Make sure everything's working fine inside. The crash was pretty bad, we think he might be paralyzed from the waist down, telling from his x-rays." I explained looking back at to see she looked shock.

"I just don't want him to suffer. Do you think there's anyway you can keep him from suffering?"

"Well, ma'am, he is on life support, that's pretty much the only thing that's really keeping him from dying. If we were to pull the plug we would need a signature from a family member on his medical records." I explained and she sighed. She stood next to him and held his hand.

"I-I think, um, it's best if you took him off life support."

"I, um, are you sure because once we do that there's no coming back, ma'am?" I asked and she nodded.

"Yes, I understand."

I looked through his files for his med records.

"Courtney Williams, correct?" I glanced at her and she nodded. I looked through the files not finding her name.

"I'm sorry, seems like he doesn't have your name down in his records."

Smart choice, buddy.

"What do you mean he doesn't have my name down?" She crossed her arms and I could tell she was mad.

"Well, he has a choice who's on his records, there's his mother, sister, and me. Wait, me?" I looked at the paper shock.

"Why does he have you done, instead of me, you're just the doctor." She said with attitude and I put my hands on my hips.

"Look, sweetheart don't catch a attitude with me." She scoffed then her phone started ringing.

"I have to take this." She walked out the room and I rolled my eyes. I walked over to the bed and looked over the patient. He had a tattoo on his wrist. I looked at my wrist sam tattoo. I looked at him and exhaled shaking my head.

"You gotta be shitting me."

"What is it?" Cierra asked and I turned to her.

"Woody McClain is the same Woody McClain from high school." She luaghed in shock.

"What? The one you used to be like best friends with? That's crazy, you haven't seen him in what 10 years."

"Something like that." I said then fixed some of the equipment.

"Who set up the equipment in here?"

"Um, I think the new girl Emily."

"Briana told her to do it."

"Well, Briana is her supervisor." I rolled my eyes and gave his files.

"I'm gonna head back to my office, I got some paper work to do. Call me when his fiancé comes back." She nodded with a small smile.

~Later~

There was knocked on my door while I was typing.

"Come in." The door opened and in came Cierra.

"Hey, um, she never came back, and it's 7pm. My shift is ending." I nodded with a sigh.

"That's fine, I'll be in there to watch him once I finish this paper."

"Okay, don't stay up to late N/n. Goodnight."

"Night, C." With that she left closing the door behind her. I sighed and leaned back in my chair. I looked to my left seeing the picture of me, Carly, mom, and pops. I smiled to myself think of my dad.

He passed away when I was 20 from cancer. He pretty much the whole reason pushed my acting career to the side and became a doctor.

I grabbed my phone and looked through my contacts for my mom. I found her number and called her.

"Hey, baby."

"Hi, mommy, how are you?"

"Fine, just closing up the diner. I saved you some left over tots and grilled cheese. You can come by and get it." Mommy new what my favorite food was and she always spoiled me with food.

"I don't know, mommy, I got a new patient today and I need to watch over him make sure he doesn't die in his coma."

"Oh, poor baby. Have you had lunch yet?"

"No, why?"

"Well, I'll come by and bring you your food."

"Mommy, you don't have to do that."

"Nope, I'm coming to bring you your food." I smiled to myself.

"Thank you, Mommy."

"You welcome baby, I'll call you when I get there."

"Okay, bye, I love you, Mommy."

"I love you too, baby." She hung up and I huffed. I typed the rest of my paper then saved it. I walked out my office turning off the light. I walked to room 334. When I got there Woody was still out. There was a knock on the door and I turned to see some faces I have seen in forever.
