Chapter 6: Comforts and Advices

I laughed, remembering that scene

"You seem happy" Lucas said a coworker

"oh, no I just remembered something" I replied

"Your coffee will get cold" Lucas reminded

"oh right, thanks" I thanked

Then he passed by my office and got to his office

I then returned on researching because I won't be going to work tomorrow because it's Saturday tomorrow.

Hours pass and I didn't notice that it was already 3:00 PM, it was time for us to go home but I always stay for another hour to work a bit more

It was 4:00 and it was time for me to go home

I passed by my house first, to wash clothes then brought new clothes then headed to y/n's home to take care of her

I reached y/n's home and parked my car

I opened the gate then the door

"HEY! Look I no longer have fever" she excitingly said

So I checked her temperature on the thermometer and surprisingly the fever is gone

I was relieved

"What do you want me to do about that" I told her

"tch" she reacted

I smiled

then she smiled back then I told her to invite her friends so that she can hang out with them tomorrow

"YEEYYYY. You should come too" she told me

"no" I replied

"PLEAASSEEE, SAAKKUSSAA, PLEEASSEEE" forcing me with her cute ugly puppy eyes

I sighed

"okay" I replied

"YEYY, always works HAHAHA" - y/n

"no it didn't, it was the ugliest thing I saw" - me

"psh, just admit that it was cute" - y/n

"did you eat lunch?" - I asked her

"psh, like you ate lunch" - she answered

"you didn't answer my question" - me

"noo" - y/n

"y/n" - me

"don't call me like that, it reminds me of someone" - y/n

I definitely know who she was talking about.

It was Akaashi

We were both silent for atleast 20 seconds

I think she's preparing herself, so that she could tell the story properly.

"Akaashi called me that night" - y/n, breaking out the silence

I was ready to listen and just try to understand what she felt and tried hard not to complain because I know that she hates that.

"He told me to go down and meet him at the park there" - she continued

"I saw his sorrowful face, I didn't know what was about to happen but something came to my mind it was that.... That he was going to break up with me" - she added

"I hesitated, but next thing I knew I was walking to him, he noticed me and he stood straight, then suddenly someone called him, and I heard him saying things that he's already ending it, HAHAAHHA you don't know how scared I felt after hearing those words."

I just looked at her with sincere eyes, to let her know that I am listening and understanding what she was saying.

"Then he told me that he was breaking up with me, and that he... He cheated" - y/n

"WHAT?! HE DID WHAT?!?!" - I shouted and I think she got surprised

"I'm sorry... go on with what you were telling" - me

"It's okay, so yeah, I asked him since when, and he said that it started last month haha, did you know how dumb I felt when I heard him say that, I didn't realize that he was falling out of love,

"Sakusa. Can you please tell me what I did wrong? I mean we were together for 8 years. 8 YEARS!! Was I too boring? Did I not focus on him enough? Was I not enough? Is it because I'm not extraordinary?" y/n told me as she was crying

I was mad but I tried holding that emotion because me being mad won't solve y/n's problem

"You know why? It was not your problem, Yes, I don't know what he's feeling but if he expected more? He wouldn't be able to find someone because you were the best girlfriend, I know. based on your stories. But he had Bokuto, that just means that he knew he isn't the one for you and that you deserve better." - I told her trying to comfort her, I was not sure with what I said but I just know that those two are stupid, crazy people.

"Really?" - she asked

"Yes y/n, was that the end?" - I asked

"No, after he told me those things I told him that I was happy for them and told him things he shouldn't do to... Bokuto. Dumb right? hahahaha - y/n

"And then I said my goodbyes and that's where we part our ways." - y/n

"Y/n.... I know you'll not like what I'm about to say but please for once don't act like you're okay" - me

"I don't, that's why I'm telling you this right now, cause I'm not" - she replied with a kinda upset tone

"No, what I mean is please defend yourself" - I added in a comforting way

"I'm sorry, it's just that...- she said then started crying like a baby

"shhh shh that was just a reminder, don't worry if you can't defend yourself I will" - me

"Thank you" - y/n

I hugged her

"It's okay" - I told her as I strum my fingers on her hair

We stayed like that for minutes

Normally we weren't like this not until that motherfucker, I was not this touchy with y/n it was always like a 5-8 second hug and a handshake

"Did you eat dinner?" - I asked while releasing her

"I was waiting for you" - she answered

"then let's go" - me

I cooked a fast dinner for the both of us while she was still on the couch thinking to herself.

"Y/n! Food's ready!" - me

"Coming" - her

"Itadakimasu" - both of us

"Hey, sakusa, uhmm why are you doing all these for me? I mean you're basically already living here" - she asked

"I have one reason, do you know what that is? It is because we're bestfriends" - me

"right?" - I added

"yes, thank you for being my bestfriend and always being there for me"- her

"no problem, being there for each other is what bestfriends do." - me

After we ate y/n showered and I washed the dishes

Then she told me that she's gonna go to sleep

And I showered and then eventually slept.
