Hi Guys, I don't know if anyone will even see this but if you do, please leave a review and follow, your feedback would mean the world to me. Also, for copyright reasons I do not own marvel or any of their characters yadda yadda yadda... Enjoy!

After returning from Russia and getting debrieffed by chief Dooley Peggy was exhausted and longed for nothing more than to make her way back quickly to her semi-comfortable bed at the Griffith Hotel. Just as she was going to grab her things Jack shouted.

"C'mon Carter, I owe you a bourbon."

She couldn't help but smile at his offer, it had only taken narrowly missing getting killed and saving her colleagues asses to finally earn some respect from the other agents. She quickly strode over to the elevator joining them, briefly considering his offer before replying: "Thanks for the offer Thompson, but I better head back to the Griffith or Mrs Fry will likely lose her head. Maybe another time."

As the elevator doors pinged open they exited the SSR, disguised as a telephone company, walking out the door, heading their separate ways. She was just about to cross the road when Jack shouted

"At least let me call you a cab!"

"I'm sure I'll be fine walking Agent Thonpson afterall we have legs for a reason" she light-heartedly joked. Thinking their conversation was over, she began walking again until he jogged up to her.

"Please Marge, I insist, what kind of gentleman would I be if i let you walk home alone in the dark?"

"I assure you, Jack, I can take care of myself" she chided back adding "if you waste anymore time talking to me I'm sure Ramirez will go get that drink himself, goodnight Agent Thompson."

And with that she swiftly strode away keeping her eyes focused on the pavement in front of her. When she finally reached the Griffith, she sneaked upstairs and entered her apartment unnoticed. She made quick work of her blazer and skirt, changing into a silk night dress and climbing into bed.

Despite having not slept in 2 days, she had one thing on her mind stopping her from reaching her long waited slumber and that, was none other than Jack Thompson.

After serving beside him in Russia, she couldn't help but re-evaluate her opinion of him. He wasn't the smug, rude and sexist man she had always thought he had been - at least not anymore. She couldn't help but analyse their conversation outside the SSR earlier. Was he just tired, or did he actually care about her well being? Why was he so protective? And then it struck her; did he like her, did she like him? Before she could dive any further into her thoughts Peggy scolded herself, forcing the fluttering feeling in her stomach away and focused on trying to get some sleep for the long and tiring day she had ahead of herself tomorrow.
