1.

This is the story of a young girl named Laila. The youngest of three siblings. Shy by nature, sweet and attentive, she was a rare beauty: long, dark hair and violet eyes, as well as a perfect white skin that attracted al the attention wherever she went. As she grew up, Laila dealt with of normal teenagers issues: getting decent grades, having friends, and of course, getting the attention of the cutest boy from school, but only one of those things had happened so far.

She was a model student, which made her an easy target for malicious teasing from jealous and envious kids who caused her nothing but problems with the principal. In addition, their parents, had a very large influence on the school's authorities, due to their continuous donations and the innocent facade of her bullies. The conflicts were never really solved, much to the frustration of the young girl, who was beginning to feel exhausted from having to defend herself every day.

One morning, Laila woke up very early, sighed, and looked at her watch: it was only seven o'clock. After stretching on the bed, she went to the bathroom to wash herself. She tried to listen for some activity coming from the kitchen but there was not the slightest noise; this meant that her parents had already gone to work.

Her mother, Mina, was a beautiful and charismatic teacher at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, loved by her students and colleagues alike, but she didn't really care about all that popularity anymore. Everything changed ever since that day when she found her husband with another woman on their bed. She wanted a divorce. Him, another chance. As a successful architect, Evan Daniels attracted many women with his natural appeal and blue eyes, if you add an absent wife who could hardly bear being around him... It was a recipe for disaster.

Laila witnessed many fights; And although they never became physical, their screams were loud enough and the comments so hurtful that even her heart hurt, that only talked about how fragile she was. The only way she had to deal with the pain was a small razor blade that she took from her father and used it to cut herself in hidden places like her forearms or legs. As she was always dressed in long-sleeved shirts and jeans, no one would ever noticed. She soon became very good at hiding them, which made her depression and self-destruction worse.

Her older brother, Milo, lived on the other side of town, balancing college life with a recent marriage and a baby to take care of, because of this, his home visits became more and more sporadic, something very similar happened with Dylan, the middle brother, who was also a college student, but he was only in his freshman year and felt the whole experience as something new and exciting. Both guys had full, happy lives, something that Laila secretly envied.

After a shower, she went back to her room and searched in her closet for the clothes. There was not much to choose from, all the pieces were dark, from black to the lightest gray, only some garments stood out from the rest; A purple jacket and a pair of flowery dresses, she chose a T-shirt, a pair of black leggings and her usual Converse. Looking into the mirror, she sighed again, annoyed, as she hated her appearance, especially her eyes. Being born with the Alexandria Syndrome did not help her to be popular, but quite the opposite. Her diary became a healthier distraction, where she used to capture her anguish and create beautiful stories where she could forget everything. But that fragile bubble was destroyed the day someone found her little treasure, stole it and exposed her secrets. That was just too much for her to deal with.

At the end of one of the day, she was cornered by Ashley Nelson, the star cheerleader and girlfriend of Anthony, the Prince charming in Laila's dreams, however Anthony was part of the group of bullies who were very cruel, making fun of her and torturing her emotionally. Her third stalker was Edward Turner, he, like Ashley, loved to hurt people to the breaking point, either physically or mentally.
