Chapter 2 The Forest

"So, why don't you have anywhere to go?" Draco asked in curiosity. "I'd rather not say" Max replied. "Okay Max looked at Draco "Just okay?"

"Yeah, why? I have secrets too"

Max thought about it "Fair" he said. Draco shrugged and he started to walk ahead, Max got distracted and he stopped walking. Draco looked back and sighed in relief, Finally, he thought, I'm losing him. Max saw that it was getting dark so he looked over but Draco wasn't there "Crap."

Draco looked at the sky and he sighed then stopped "V.W.D's will get him if I leave him here..and I still have a makeshift heart so I'll go get him" Draco turned around and he headed in the direction of Max. Max walked around a bit scared then he slapped himself "I'm a thirty year old man. I know how to take care of myself. I don't need some fifteen year old" he said confidently. "On the contrary you do need me and I'm eighteen" Draco said as he stood behind Max "Unless you want to be eaten by V.W.D's, stay by me and don't get distracted. This isn't a field trip." Draco started to walk. Max sighed and he followed. "So, why do you hate humans?" Max asked "No" Draco replied "Alright then" Max said "Any girl waiting for you?" Draco rolled his eyes "I'm not interested in relationships, now shut up before I rip your tongue out" Max went quiet. Draco didn't care and he stopped, Max continued walking, Draco stopped him. "What?"

"We're in White Elf territory"

"We're what?"

"Let's just say that the further in we go the more they try to kill me and kill you right away"
"Didn't you say they're White Elves?"

"Just because they sound nice doesn't mean they are, the Lilac Elves are the good ones."

Max sighed, Draco rolled his eyes "Come on.." he said then he started walking "Wait." Draco looked at Max "What?"

"Didn't you just say they'll kill me?"

"Yeah, but I was just kidding, they'll only try to kill me," he said. "Why you?" Max asked "If you're lucky enough you'll figure it out" Draco said then continued to walk. Max reluctantly followed. The walk was long and quiet.
