Gabbie POV

                Yeah my dads told me plenty about how sirens and mermaids work. That's why Irene and I plugged our ears once we got far enough ahead and noticed Adie wasn't with us yet

I: are you sweating?

A: n-no...just got um a lil splashed it all

                She's more then sweating...she's blushing

G: ight uh Irene you should walk ahead and make sure the coast is clear

I: sure

                 Irene walks ahead of us and adie wipes some sweat off the back of her neck

G: ...okay so what's going on? i know you didn't get splashed

A: it's...it's nothing really

G: oh come on adie

A: fine i...*sigh* thanks for kinda saving me back there...they kinda seemed yanno...toppy 

G: you mean like...a top?

A: yeah and i well yanno being seventeen and all i'm for SURE not ready for that

G: it that all?

A: *gulp*...can you keep a secret? and not like act all weird about it?

G: sure

A: i...i think i'm...i'm lesbian

G: what?

A: like i...i try i really do but i just can't bring myself to like boys or men the way i like woman

G: oh...i didn't know there was a word for that

A: you don't...care?

G: course i don't aha in fact it makes more sense

A: oh...how about irene?

G: well...i uh i won't tell her don't worry

                       It's not she'd be against it i don't think...she's just been raised against it like me but i won't judge adie for it

A: thanks

G: no problem...come on 

                    We catch up to Irene

I: you guys took your time...coast is clear

G: cool

A: so uh...i guess this...yanno

G: yeah...goodbye for now 

A: yeah...Irene?

I: hm?

A: ...i know you we're raised to hate me and all but uh...thanks for like not killing me when you had the chance 

I: uh...no problem...you're not as bad as they've told us 

A: *chuckle* well gee thanks...you too

                Irene hops down onto the dock and walks away. I turn to Adie and give her another hug

A: ...promise we'll stay friends forever?

A: gabs? are we best friends?

G: well...i think we are

A: really?

G: yeah...irene's my best friend too though

A: well maybe one day we'll meet and we can all be best friends

G: maybe

A: ...we gonna be best friends forever?

G: heck yeah

A: ....promise?

G: ...forever...i promise one day we'll be able to hang in public

A: really?

G: yeah...i gotta go

A: okay

                   I pull away and she smiles

G: see ya around adie

A: yeah

G: and hey...best friends adie...best friends

                     She floats a lil in the air and starts flying backwards. She bangs her head on a tree branch

G: pfft

                    She blushes a lil while rubbing her head

A: ...w-well uh...see yeah around 

G: yeah

                   She flies up pretty high and then sonic booms over the mountains

I: hey bud ya coming?

G: *sigh* yeah

Adie POV

                 best friends...oh that made me feel great, she has no idea. I bolt home and crash right onto my bed thru the window as the pixie dust wears off.

T: *ring*

A: yeah yeah i'm back

                 ...ight i made a promise better keep it. I get up and start putting together some food and putting it in a basket. I get some berries and throw them in for tink who flies around all happy

D: HEY!

A: *sigh* yeah dad?

D: ...she don't like the green ones *chuckle* I've told ya that already

A: oh right aha 

D: anyways...after this we'll talk okay?

A: yeah dad...and...this time no secrets?

D: yeah
