The next day at school Avery couldn't wear what he wanted to because of his mom, so he just wore a black hoodie with grey sweatpants. Ashlyn complimented him and said laughing, "You really shouldn't be with Ben because that's so gay!" Avery stopped to her and said, "Not now Ashlyn, not the homophobia." He walked away, but Ashlyn looked at him in disgust. Amelia arrived and same with Ben and they just ignored each other. Ben ran up to Avery and said, "Hey." Avery replied with his lip quivering, "I'm sorry Ben, but this isn't going to work" Avery ran away with depression completely taking over and he couldn't stop sobbing, so he got a headache and went home. Avery's mom just whispered all the bad things about Avery and it really got to him. Avery just ran upstairs and he was about to cut himself with a razor, but then he thought all the good things in life. For example, Ben. And he really thought how it could become an addiction.
Ben couldn't stop thinking about Avery. He kept overthinking about what happened. The things that he kept overthinking about was how Avery and Him might never be able to talk again. Ben started to cry, but then his mom came in. His mom understood everything Ben told her and she just said, "It's okay you're gay, but it might take awhile for me to get used to." Ben just hugged his mom for a minute straight thanking her for comforting him. Ben went to bed for the night.

Avery stayed up all night getting his homework done and making sure everything was perfect (kind of.) Avery got dressed for the day. He put on black Nike sweats with a grey Nike shirt to match with the pants. Once Avery went downstairs for breakfast his mom told him what a disgrace he was and that she will be happy once he gets a girlfriend again, which she was referring to Ashlyn. Avery told her, "Fine, I will get a girlfriend, since I'm not gay. I am bisexual mom. I like boys and girls, so fine I will find a girlfriend, but that doesn't change who I am or what my sexuality is. Avery's mom just looked at him silent. She just said, "Get out. Come back after school with a girlfriend and then I will accept you." Avery repeated what he said before on how he is still bisexual and getting a girlfriend isn't going to do anything. Avery's mom said, "Fine, just get lost, but come back after school because we are going to talk to your father about this." Avery nodded and walked out the door with a pukey feeling. Instead of everyone making fun of him on the bus he just walked to school.
Ben walked to school today. When he saw Avery in the halls he didn't want to avoid him, but he knew what his mom said, so he stuck to her word.
