Midoriya turned off his phone as he put it on the bed stand next to him. His bed sank as he sat on it. "I thought . . . I thought this y-year would b-be d-dif-different." He chuckled as tears fell from his eyes. He looked at his tears and laughed quietly. "Pathetic . . . just pathetic . . ." he said before he broke into sobs. He fell back on his bed, laying down, and sobbed into a nearby pillow that was at arms reach. He cried into the pillow for a while, until he heard a knock on his door. He shot up and wiped any tears remaining, as he put on a fake smile and hoped the darkness concealed his red eyes. He walked over to the door and opened it, revealing Jirou standing there.

"Hey Midoriya." She said.

"Hi Jirou!" Midoriya said, plastering a fake smile onto his face.

"What do you need?" He continued.
