Beam POV

It's exactly 9:30AM on my phone's clock. I'm uncertain where I am right now but what I am sure is that I still have a long way to travel. Waze didn't have to remind my Uber driver that the traffic was heavy because our eyes were enough to see the congestion of the mix of private cars, buses and other public utility vehicles.

Just to be clear, when I said I was uncertain on my location, I meant that I didn't know the name of the street we're currently in. But the general area was familiar to me as I have passed by here everytime I have some place to go alone or with my family or friends. I just don't bother to know the specific names of the road.

According to the Waze speaker, it will take another hour before I arrive in the National Museum. As to what purpose? I'm not sure as well. But I've been spending a lot of my time lately with cliche tasks for the summer break because I wamted to end this vacation with a drop of productivity. Judge me all you want but I thought visiting a museum was a highly recreational. And by sheer luck, our city opened a new National Museum of Natural History.

I find it very interesting to observe stuff in exhibits. Not the kind of observing in the hope of deciphering the meaning behind an artwork, but at least to understand the inspiration behind the artist's piece. It's surreal, isn't it? I'm always fascinated on their thought process in doing their creations. I don't think I can produce anything that can be called art. I was not born for it.

T/N: I'm for performance art, not tangible art.

Because I was lost in thought, I didn't realize that we were already at my drop off point. I paid my fare to the driver and said thanks before I disembarked. Then, I started to walk to the museum which was just around the corner.

I kinda like walking leisurely. I get to observe people doing their daily lives. I'm always wondering what others are about to do at the moment. Wonder what kind of lives do they have. In moments like this, it's easy to conclude that I'm a bit of a weirdo.

I chuckled at the thought.

There's a huge park on my left side that featured a children's playground. Behind it is the building that houses my destination for the day, the National Museum of Natural History.
