Soon Quinn arrived at the club and saw the same gorilla from yesterday at the door.
She politely knocked and smiled at him when the sliding window opened.
"Yes?"
"May I come in? I sorta forgot the password." She replied sheepishly. She was spaced out the night before when her and Eddie first arrived.
"Your brother here?" The gorilla grumbled out
"Nope just me. I'm meeting Betty."
"Alright." He spoke and opened the door fully. She thanked him and made her way into the club. Bugs Bunny was on stage telling jokes making some of the more... drunk attendants laugh, Quinn was chuckling as well as she made her way to an empty table at the front. It was a couple tables over then the one she was at with Eddie. Luckily the club was a little slow as it was mid day so there wasn't too many people surrounding her.
Meanwhile with Betty
Betty had seen her walk in and rushed to inform Jesse.
He had just finished getting ready for his preformance. He was wearing a silky red tux with purple fingerless gloves and his hair was down naturally. He put on a little stage make up as well.
He had just finished adjusting his gloves when there was a frantic knock on the door. He walked over cautiously as he sometimes had girls and guys trying to meet him in the dressing room. He glanced through the peep hole the glanced down to see Betty. He opened it up and raised an eyebrow with a smile since she knocked so quickly.
"Yes?" He joked as she was nearly bouncing from excitement.
"Shes here." His smile grew and his eyes went wide. His heart sped up and leapt out of his chest... literally.
"She's here?"
"She's here Jesse. Sitting right in the front row. Now I gotta go get her some drinks but your gonna do great Jess." She spoke reassuringly. He thanked her profusely as she left. He closed the door with a love struck look on his face and reminded himself he needed to get to know her more before he continues to jump to conclusions. He knew it'd be hard with her seemingly shy nature but he found it adorable.
Back By The Stage
Quinn was lightly adjusting her skirt that laid nicely over her lap when Betty came over.
"Quinnie! Your here." Betty spoke excitedly while Quinn smiled at her.
"Hey Betty! And yep I'm here."
"How's the comedy so far?"
"Amazing! I've loved Bugs forever!" Quinn spoke excitedly while glancing back at the stage to see the rabbit earring a carrot.
"I know Q! That's one of the acts I wanted you to be here for that I thought you'd like."
"One of?"
"Yep! The one after Bugs! Anyways what can I getcha? Shirley Temple?" Betty quickly changed the subject hoping she didn't notice the fact that she didn't tell her the name of the performer.
"Of course. Ain't no better drink... well maybe coffee." Quinn replied teasingly as she knew Betty couldn't have coffee since it made her too energetic.
"Oh hush. I'll be right back."
Betty walked away to get the drink and put tons of cherries in it,
Once she was done she brought it back and set it in front of Quinn who drank it eagerly.
"I gotta go for a little bit I'll be back once the next act is done, kay?" Betty told Quinn's while smiling at her. Betty truly did hope that her and Jesse could at least be friends. But she was hoping for more.
The lights dimmed in the club and the spot light once again turned on, directing straight at the curtain.
"Oh no." She thought quietly. She knew the act if she was thinking correctly.
(A/N I don't know what song he'd sing but I like this one and it feel like it fits)
He began the song as he glanced at her the second he walked out the curtain but she didn't notice as she was willing herself to be distracted by the cherries in her cup. He stayed in stage for half of the act which disappointed some of the patrons but after it was halfway over he stepped down from the stage and acted with a couple of women but he quickly walked away from them to get to Quinn. She was still looking down until she heard him sing right next to her. She shyly glanced up at him and he smiled slightly at the blush on her cheeks. He wasn't as forward as the time before as he didn't want to scare her away. The song finished and he made his way back stage, slightly stressing about meeting Quinn.Betty made her way over to Quinn just as he stepped back behind the curtain.
"Hey Q! How'd you like it?" Betty spoke while suggestively raising her eyebrows. Quinn rolled her eyes but blushed.
"Again, a wonderful singer."
"I know, I know. Now come on! I gotta surprise for yah!"
"What is it?"
"If I told you it wouldn't be much of a surprise now would it? Yah coming or not?" Not wasn't an option. Betty was going to drag her there if she had to.
"Alright..." Quinn replied hesitantly. She had no clue where Betty would be dragging her that was until she arrived at the door of a dressing room.
"Oh no no no no..." Quinn denied while shaking her head. She couldn't meet Jesse! She couldn't even look at him for very long before getting flustered.
"Oh yes!" And Betty quickly knocked on the door to which Jesse lightly jumped at from inside but went to open the door.
He opened it and looked down to see Quinn and Betty standing there. Quinn was blushing while looking at her feet making him nearly coo at her adorable nature.
"Hi." She shyly said glancing up at him for a second before his gaze got to her and she returned to being interested at her shoes.
"Hello there." He responded in his attention drawing voice.
"Well I'll leave you to it." Betty spoke while lightly pushing Quinn into the room and briskly walking away.
Quinn stood there awkwardly while Jesse was just smiling. He didn't really think through what he was going to say to her once they did meet as he couldn't mess it up. He wanted her. And he would try his best to have her.
