Quinn returned home to see Eddie talking to Baby Herman in the hallway. Cringing slightly at the way Herman was treating the women who was taking care of him." Look, Valiant. The rabbit didn't kill Acme. He's not a murderer. I should know. He's a dear friend of mine. I tell you, Valiant, the whole thing stinks like yesterday's diapers. Look at this." Herman said grouchily handing a newspaper to Eddie talking about the murder Roger Rabbit was accused of "The paper says Acme left no will. That's a load of succotash. Every toon knows Acme had a will. He promised to leave Toontown to us Toons. That will is the reason he got bumped off!"
"Has anybody ever seen this will?" Eddie spoke surprisingly. It was the first he heard of it. Quinn stood by her brother listening along as he nodded to acknowledge her as Baby Herman answered the question.
"Ah, no. But he gave us his solemn oath." He said matter-of-factory as he continued to smoke.
"If you believe that that joker could do anything solid, the gags on you pal!" Quinn lightly elbowed him to the side as she saw how badly Herman believed Acmes promise.
Eddie lightly grabbed into Quinn and began to pull her inside the office but Herman continued.
"I just figured since you were the one who got my pal in trouble, you might want to help get him out. I can pay ya."
Quinn's guilt began to build up, she was always a fan of Roger rabbit, on and off the screen. And Jessie was related to him, and she didn't want Jessie to think she got him in trouble after they had began to become friends.
"Save your money for a pair of elevator shoes!" Eddie was angered by the fact that a toon wants him to work for him, he promised he never would help another toon after what happened to their brother so he turns the pram round, takes of the brakes and rolls it down the hall. With Herman yelling along the way "Hey, no! Valiant, don't!" The cot collides with his sitter and Herman's cigar falls over the side of the pram.
Baby Herman cries and shouts about his fallen cigar while Quinn has her eyes widened in shock as Eddie and he finally enter the office He sits down at his desk pouring himself a drink and looking at the newspaper while Quinn takes her past brothers seat, staring at the photo of him and her on his desk.
She remembered seeing it appear one day, surprised she asked why he has a picture of them on his work desk, he has usually wanted to keep it strictly to work.
But his only response was so he could see her everyday after the loss of their parents.
She cried that night.
"It ain't our fault the rabbit got himself in trouble." Eddie attempts to reassure himself and her "All I did was take a couple of lousy pictures..." he said trailing off as he takes off his jacket he looks at the picture of Acme and Jesse he took the night before on the front page of the newspaper. Quinn walks over behind him looking over his shoulder as he notices something in Elizabeth's pocket magnified by the glass he put on top of it. Opening a bag he gets out his magnifying glass to get a closer look. In Marvins pocket an envelope sticks out with the words 'Last Will and Testament' written on it.
"The baby was right! The hell with it."
He shakes his head in disbelief and pulls out his bed as Quinn walked over to the door to her room.
"Eddie what are we going to do..."
"I don't know Quinn..."
I gets in to the bed and rolls over to get comfortable before coming face to face with Roger. Who had been hiding in there.
All three of them began screaming but Quinn was the first to stop as they both leap out of bed.
"What the..." Quinn began then trailing off.
